Hello Ladies, Gentlemen (and all those in between)

Thank you all for welcoming both myself and DoctorClu so warmly.

As many of you know, I have been largely silent since the transition of SR1 to SR2. But smelling that our community was in a time of need, the silence has been broken.

Might I take this opportunity to add a few words to the mix:

This is a confusing time for our community. But it should not, in any way, be a time for separation.

Now is the time we need to pull together even stronger than ever before. Remember what we have built, what we have worked so hard to create, and remember that for most of us, Silk Road is about much more than just scoring drugs - if it wasn't, none of you would still be here, knowing that the Market had planned downtime over Christmas.

It makes me proud to see so many of you fighting peacefully, but relentlessly, for freedom.

Let's never let our community be disbanded.

Hi V, can't believe Defy went out in a scam  :( a trusted member too, I was hoping it was just the mail or the girl just not organised but looking worse by the minute!!  :o

It's a real shame, Mary.

But if it helps, let's just hope she was in a tight spot and that she needed the money more than those who she stole from.

I don't think it fits her character under normal circumstances, and I'm not saying that what she did was right, but I do think we should try to remember her as we once knew her, not as she went out.

She might have left on a brown note, but she was a valuable member of this community.

So are you. Don't steal my Bitcoins :)

Everybody should take this time to re-read this speech, and re-read it again.

You are greeted with it when you log into Silk Road, and it is as true today as it was when it was first published.

Don't forget, and don't let your spirits be beaten.

Thanks for the warm comments everyone.

Heisenbud, is it me your question is aimed at?

If so, I am a passionate member of this community who would hate to see it broken.

Good evening lenders and borrowers of coin.

During these unstable times for our community, I wanted to reach out and offer the warmth of my support to all those willing to accept it.

Here's hoping that those with LE on their case have a favorable outcome.

Here's hoping that the Spare Coins Thread continues its hard work, and pulls together stronger than ever before.

Here's hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas and don't let recent events keep you away from this wonderful place.

Good evening ladies and honorary gentlemen.

During these unstable times for our community, I wanted to reach out and offer the warmth of my support to all those willing to accept it.

Here's hoping that those with LE on their case have a favorable outcome.

Here's hoping that the OP, wherever she may be, is well and that she pulls through her tough times.

Here's hoping that those seemingly duped by her exit recover and didn't send any money they couldn't afford to lose - may this be a lesson not in mistrust amongst our community, but of trust in the system that has been built to prevent such incidents from occuring.

Here's hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas and don't let recent events keep you away from this wonderful place.

You didn't mention Libertas but his contributions are greatly appreciated and I hope he will be somewhere safe with a smile on his face this year.

I hope for this too. Though on the run, he is still - for the time being - somewhat a free man.

Might I request that the fine gentlemen of the smoking room join us in raising a toast to our fallen brothers on Christmas Day?

On Christmas day, what will you be doing?

Having a meal with the family; visiting a bar with a friend for a glass of beer; sitting alone in your bedsit with a bottle of cheap red wine; walking in the woods high on drugs you bought from Silk Road; driving to a State you've never visited before; making snow angels with your lover in the garden?

Whatever you decide to do, it will be your decision.

But for Ross Ulbricht, Andrew Jones and Peter Nash, the decision will not belong to them.

Three people, possibly connected to Silk Road, but all with a passion for freedom regardless. And not one of them will have freedom this Christmas.

If they are who LE believes them to be, then we should remember that in fighting for the freedom of this community, they have sacrificed their own.

This Christmas, spare a minute to raise a toast to each of them. Show your support and confirm your commitment in this thread.

It was mentioned that Ross paid the mods 50-70k. He must had their bank details. Hence they got caught, while top vendors didn't. That's one possible explanation.

Dear Silk Roaders

I am now signing out.

I hope my words have been of inspiration to many of you here, and that my assistance has helped move the cause of Silk Road forward. However, it is with regret that I must now declare that the time has come for me to invest my time back into my real world affairs.

I am not signing out of these forums completely. I am simply putting this alias to rest for the time being. I'll still be here, you simply won't know where.

Thank you to everybody who joined in and supported this thread, and I hope to return again someday when my real world affairs have been put in order.
