If funds were withdrawn from your account by someone other than yourself without your permission then your account credentials has been compromised which means you have probably been phished or you have malware, rootkit or a keylogger on your machine.

You should change your pass phrase immediately and activate the two factor authentication to prevent this from happening again in the future.

SR admins are unable to assist you with stolen funds, your computer security arrangements are entirely your own personal responsibility and no one elses.

There is also a bug currently that has caused deposited funds appear then disappear only to reappear a short while later. Has your deposit reappeared or is it still missing?

Well I guess we've uncovered one nugget of personal real-life info on Synergy - he doesn't sit around in his skivvies, getting high at 1am while browsing the internet.

Well if your into uncovering nuggets you should probably know using words like 'skivvies' makes you really easy to profile too.

All good Supersaurus, we all would have much preferred to have been better positioned to pick up the slack given recent events, it's been a pretty crazy time with SMP and BMR exiting the market in the way they have. Having a brand new market still in its infancy and beta testing period has been far from ideal but we can only do what we can whilst keeping security as the number 1 priority.

Go easy guys here ok, I've got an uneasy feeling about some of the discussion in this thread and it is skirting a fine line between between what is ok and what isn't.

Just ask yourselves if this has the potential to cause harm to this community, pretty much anything goes on these forums but getting into the logistics (hypothetical or not) of murder for hire really is a bit close to the mark.

A little bit of paranoia is healthy, keeps you on your toes and considering all the vectors. It's when you get too comfortable you fuck up and get caught.

If you are worried about your forum persona stick to the following rules:

Never disclose any identifiable information about yourself, location etc

Never disclose or discuss your purchase activity too specifically e.g. name of vendor, quantity and date of order

Stick to that whilst throwing in the occasional red herring and you should be fine.
