Yeah, it does sound a little strange. I mean, as soon as a vendor marks the order "in transit" or sent, the buyer's address is destroyed. When the vendor suggested he's ship in a few days, did he also ask for your address? Because he wouldn't (read: SHOULDN'T) still have your address after marking the initial order in transit. If you feel like something might be "off" about a deal - you have every right to cancel the order or at the very least stay in escrow.
