The OP sent me a PM asking me to unlock the thread so he can explain.  I would continue to caution people though.

Sounds like a scammer has taken over this account?

That's my concern as well.  Can anyone verify any part of the OP?  If not, I'll be locking this thread.

wow someone is really fucking with me. I lost access again! I wasn't fished I don't care what anyone thinks. I use the same link that I saved on my computer. I would never look for a url on google or anything. I have used the same url for a long time. When I used to buy and not sell. This is really frustrating

Your account is locked until admin can look into the situation and verify that you are the account's true owner.

No offense, but can anyone verify this?

no, sorry... i meant the link to the REAL hidden wiki, not sr. theres a bunch of ones with different urls. im looking for a good tor security forum. need info on the security of certain firefox addons.

OH THANK GOD!  lol.  Sorry I misread your question, but I'm pretty relieved to know that it wasn't about the correct SR url.  :D

I'm sure someone will have the Hidden Wiki link.

the link on the hidden wiki has been a phishing site for months and months now.

tell you one thing, when i get something on sr, putting the exact coin i need, and spending it immediately. nothing to steal.

You're not going to get anything stolen unless you provide your password and PIN to a phishing site!

Confused ... are you saying you did enter the PIN 5 times so that now it shows an amount of time you'll need to wait to reset it?

You're at a phishing site.

The only legitimate SR url is as follows:  silkroadvb5piz3r.onion

You need to login and change your password and PIN immediately.

Please also read this part of the wiki very carefully to avoid the same issue in the future:  http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Trust_and_phishing

wow im stupid, why do some vendors have escrow as an option in postage?

Who knows -- maybe they are being assholes and only charging shipping costs to those buyers who won't FE for them.  In which case, CHOOSE THE ESCROW SHIPPING OPTION and stay in escrow until you have received your order and are happy with it.

It's not against the rules.  It's really up to each person as to whether they want to encrypt every message, or just those with sensitive info / shipping addresses for orders.  :)

Just make sure you encrypt your address when you enter it into the order!

Always stay in escrow!!!!!

Using escrow?  All vendors should be using escrow.  Are you talking about escrow hedging?  If so, it should say once the item is in your cart.
