Bug Reports / Re: Send a Message not working on main site.
« on: November 11, 2013, 06:59:17 am »
We are running a little behind schedule.

Once the wallet is turned on, all these features will be working. The developers are very aware that they will not be sleeping for the next 2 months, so slowly but surely more features will be added over the next month or so, until we have the same features as the original, and then eventually more features :)

Once the wallet is turned on, the marketplace will be open for business and the bare basic features will be available. (Messaging, shipping from/to ect ect)

Bug Reports / Re: How does the CAPTCHA at login STILL not work?
« on: November 11, 2013, 06:57:00 am »
ok I see.

As I said, no updates have been applied for a couple of days, the development team are fixing all the issues and then will update it once the wallets are turned on.

Luckily there is no security concern yet, as there is currently no money on the site.

DPR is waiting for to complete a huge list of updates/bug fix's before updating anything.

However, with the Captcha, what exactly is happening? It works fine for me?

-----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----

I dont want to single you out here Budzilla. But this is a perfect example of what slows me down with verifying.

Here you can see That he has not posted a link to the PGP in the old forums. How can I verify the PGP?
Posting me a public PGP key at this point is useless as it proves nothing.

Luckily for budzilla, He is an old vendor, and his PGP was in the Backup PGP list. so I could verify him. But its not a complete list, and newer vendors will not have it backed up in the list.

Please, please please, do not forget the URL to the PGP in the old forums.

Buzilla- u are verified. see the vendor round table stickys for more instructions

291
do you require new accounts to FE?

An announcement will be made on this. But no one will be able to require FE until after the standard FE Period has expired. This is still under discussion but I believe it will be 30days + 35 transactions + $2000USD Spent.  This will be required for all vendors, even verified vendors.

It will be difficult for vendors at first, and they may have to limit to domestic only, or only their old regular customers. However we are committed to making this marketplace the least scammer friendly marketplace of them all..

292
You certainly can send money directly to the vendor account (When the feature is turned on)

Now you should send GroovyBruce a tip for being an outstanding community member ;)

Feature Requests / Re: I think SR market would be better if
« on: November 11, 2013, 05:52:43 am »
#2 & #3  will be implemented.
Except im a bit confused about #1? The vendor can choose to peg their price to AUD, USD, BTC, GPB, EUR..

If they Peg it to USD, then the price will always be the same USD price, and the BTC price will fluctuate.  if they peg it to BTC, the BTC price will fluctuate and the USD price will fluctuate.

Buyers can choose what currency  they see  the price in..

294
I have now caught up wit hall verifications.

If you haven't had a reply back from me, please PM me again. I may have missed one or two, completely by accident. When I come on in the day I have 60 PM's waiting, I go back in my list but it removes the "NEW" pm as soon as I change page.

Silk Road Discussion / Re: silkroad hasa .onion.to link
« on: November 11, 2013, 01:32:06 am »
To all saying there was a .to link - this is untrue. The .to link which was posted was a quote I made from clearnet source and that was a link to the forums, which was redacted within 2 minutes of the post. The post being referred to in "WE RISE AGAIN" has never linked to a .to URL. An error made regarding the market address was on Twitter and the forum when a www. was placed in front of it when it shouldn't have been which was simply an error cause by spellcheckers auto-inserting it.

EDIT: To clarify, the "WE RISE AGAIN" post is still in its original condition when I first posted it.

I suppose I could be wrong. When I first read the post, I was on my computer using tor, and I do not recall seeing the ".to". However, later that day, I used a friends computer to access the same post using tor2web over clearnet, and I am pretty sure I saw a ".to"

I am not saying that you deliberately or mistakenly put the onion.to link in your post, what I am suggesting is that perhaps OP accessed the post using tor2web over clearnet and maybe tor2web automatically changes .onion links to .onion.to, as I feel that is why i saw a ".to" as well

P.S: It is an honor to be corrected by you my captain. My eyes are not even worthy to look upon your words I will rip them out of my own skull posthaste

I can confirm that if you are accessing the a site via the .to network, it will ammend a .to to any onion link

This makes it look like DPR posted a .to link, but in fact it was just the .to network appending the url.

Feel free to test this. I just did :)

296
How about I make this process transparent for everyone to see.

OP or any vendor that feels they have been hard done by, please post your verification details publicly here for me to verify you.

If you meet the criteria I will verify you right now. If you don't, I will post publicly my reasoning.

297
Can Someone at SR actually help old vendors return rather than Playing games?

I like 10 other vendors I am aware of in the top 10 percentile are having problems reestablishing new accounts on SR.  A quick message from Sarge has made thing more confusing then helpful.  Now all I can see on this forum are the new guys who seem to relish in their PR jobs making responses to new Senator no one knew existed, calling this site the largest or most infulencial deep net site, and wasting time with flame wars in order to rally the 30 or so people who live on this forum.

You are not rebuilding the site!
You are doing little to nothing to woo back old vendors and customers.
"I may represent the largest illegal marketplace in the world" NO YOU DON'T, both BMR and Sheep have more customers and vendors than this site!

No vendor or customer cares that their site engages in flame wars with politicians or bottom tiered news outlets and their writers.

What you SHOULD care about is building a business and making it thrive.
When old vendors who made millions of dollars over the years not wanting to come back to SR to vend, or not getting helpful support to do so, you need to realize there are some serious problems!

Silk Road will remain in 3rd place until it address these issues.
Using the name Silk Road isnt a guarantee of success.

DPR, and his staff will soon realize if SR ignores its top vendors who won't or can't manage to come back that this new Silk Road 2.0 has become an aged and fat  former beauty queen who can no longer dine on her looks <or in this case her name>.

I can not verify anyone who does not satisfy the conditions outlined in my signature URL.

I cant just open the flood gates and verify anyone and everyone.  If you can not satisfy the conditions, then you will not be verified. I was AFK for 24hours and came back to 60+ PM's. I have caught up now so please PM me if you feel you can satisfy the conditions but have no been reinstated.

If you cant satisfy the conditions, the bond is only $200 and is fully refundable. Any vendor worth their weight shouldn't have an issue paying such a low refundable bond.

WE RISE AGAIN
« on: November 06, 2013, 02:52:31 pm »
Quote
Dear Community

It is with great joy that I announce the next chapter of our journey. Silk Road has risen from the ashes, and is now ready and waiting for you all to return home: https://silkroad6ownowfk.onion.to

Welcome back to freedom.

Over the last 4 weeks, we have implemented a complete security overhaul. This overhaul marks the dawn of a brand new era for hidden services, and it would not have been possible without the patient support of this community. So for waiting patiently; for offering encouragement; for keeping the community spirit alive in Silk Road’s temporary absence; for all of this and more, each of you has my deepest and most sincere gratitude.

It took the FBI two and a half years to do what they did. Divide, conquer and eliminate was their strategy… but four weeks of temporary silence is all they got. And as our resilient community bounces back even stronger than ever before, never forget that they can only ever seize assets – they can

DPR has never quoted a .to URL
This quote is modified.

.to is a proxy server that proxies all TOR sites through to the clear web.

Its a way (which should NOT be used) to access Onion sites without TOR..

The old SR Could be accessed by .to and every onion site can be accessed by .to.
