That's an interesting turn of events just as Australia bans all synths.

Off topic / Re: The Australian Thread
« on: June 20, 2013, 01:02 pm »
Firstly, there will ALWAYS be some users, not just Aussie's but user's Worldwide, who FE for a vendor, regardless of what anyone does or says. The point has been made that this vendor is a scammer and that's all you can do. If buyers aren't smart enough to use the Forum before making a purchase and do a little research or worse still, FE for ANY vendor, especially local ones, they have no one to blame but themselves." You can lead a horse to water but you can't make em' drink". Any buyer who doesn't check out the Forum, especially prior to making a purchase, is as silly as a duck! :)

agreed, while I think its great that we are so protective of users that we keep warning them not to FE and give plenty of heads up, sometimes I also think there's only so much you can do and let's face it at the end of the day some people are just too lazy/ or for whatever reasons chooses not to do a bit more due diligence and go ahead to FE. Part of me thinks that learning a lesson the hard way tends to make it more memorable and it'll also sting more, and maybe they'll think twice before finalising early the next time.

Exactly geeza23. Sometimes learning a lesson the hard way is what's needed for the message to get through.  ;D  I do think that there are a lot of uninitiated buyers who are totally oblivious to the pitfalls and perils of the internet drug scene. There is so much to learn and take in. It's been around for 10+ years already, way before SR became a "household" name.  For some buyers, it can be overwhelming.
I do find it amusing though at the amount of buyers willing to pay anonymous people loads of their hard earned cash (BTC's) for an illegal product listed on a black market run off a Tor Hidden Service on the Hidden Web.  ??? There is also the misconception of using the word "trust" on SR. I can't see how a buyer could trust a vendor, someone you know absolutely nothing about and vice versa?? You might want to trust a vendor and the online persona they project to their customers but that's all it is, a persona. I'm not saying that vendors are not trust worthy, not at all. All I'm saying is with the nature of this business, where maintaining your anonymity is of paramount importance, nobody knows anyone and never will. I will refrain from trusting ANYBODY. I certainly have an opinion and get a sense of a vendor through their actions, messages and service, but that's as far as it goes for me. I can still like someone and converse with them without having to trust them. It's just common sense to not "trust"people here. IMO, to do so is to let your guard down and allow people an opportunity to exploit your "trusting nature".
WingWong is spot on about using some common sense. The only problem with that though is common sense isn't too common anymore!!
I have to agree with you Dingo about the low number of SR buyers who use the Forum. It just illustrates the small percentage of SR users who actually read through the SR WIKI, including the Buyer (and Seller) Guidelines set out by DPR to help minimize mistakes and maximize your buying experience. You only have to read "A few words from the Dread Pirate Roberts" on the SR Homepage to know where to look for more info. and where to start. I suspect not many people take the time to read his/her basic introduction though.  :) :)

I hear it all the time: people who have either jumped on, bought from the first cheap buyer they see and been scammed, or have a FOAF who has, and they tell me that the whole place is a scam. They know so, and have pity for me as a journo for being fooled In to thinking its real. Apparently I'm the naive one ::)

Pine is correct. The vast majority of buyers do not visit the forums.

Heads up there is likely to be some hysterical publicity on the way. I've been contacted in the past week by both 60 Minutes and Today Tonight to comment on stories about SR. I think they are about kids buying synths on the web and ODing  (not sure as I declined both)

Do you know how many Australian's die each week here and abroad from alcohol related incidents? probably close to triple figures but where is the hysteria about that? why are we not all horrified and outraged that this evil substance that destroys lives and communities is sold on pretty much every street in this country.

The hypocrisy of the news media and legislative framework we laughably call the justice system appalls me.

We are all free to make our own choices in this life, I do not need a benevolent government to legislate what I do with my own body thank you.

I feel sad for the tragic loss of life, I am equally sad at how many people will be whipped up into a furore over some bullshit sensationalized TV propaganda.

Rant over.

Customer support / Re: vendor banned...can I get my money back?
« on: June 20, 2013, 12:47 pm »
A vendor has been banned since the time I made a purchase from him. do I have to wait until cancel is available to get my money back? will this affect my return rate?
It was never placed in transit & cancel is available in 3 days. Obviously it would be nice to get my money back before then but as long as I can eventually get it back without any consequences I am grateful.
thanks for any help :)

If you submit a customer support ticket on the market site requesting an admin should be able to cancel the order for you straight away, in some cases this is done automatically for all unconfirmed orders but I would send in the request anyway as it'll probably be quicker than waiting.

As a new vendor BeepBeep expect to attract some individuals who will try it on and threaten you with bad feedback unless you cave into their demands. It might hurt your stats but I know from speaking to other vendors you need to stand firm and if the tracking says delivered then that's an end to the matter.

How does staff get the confirmation without having access to the address? Seems like it would be a way for LE (who may be staff) to get the addy of the buyer?

I am not familiar with the methods and tools the admins have at their disposal when they are called upon to adjudicate on resolution matters I'm afraid as I do not work on the market site.

Much appreciated muskabuzz!  :)

Assuming the vendor does not confirm the order in the mean time then yes that should hopefully just be the extent of your inconvenience.

Customer support / Re: Cocaine Vendor WorldWHITE is a Scam
« on: June 20, 2013, 10:57 am »
I have responded to you in the other thread you posted in on this matter, I hope my responses there in some way goes to answering the questions you have raised.

And yes you are clearly not Joolz, apologies for that but I have been trolled hard recently and we all make mistakes, your initial posts were to be fair rather unnecessarily abusive and you got me off side, I can own my shit when I fuck up and in this instance I did.

Have a read of my other response and if you still have questions feel free to PM me and I will gladly discuss this with you off the forums.

I am unsure why you felt the need to post with such vitriol in my direction Jason however irrespective of that I will try to respond to your questions to the best of my ability.

When I read the original posts regarding this vendor on June 16th and 17th I did take a look at their vendor page and I did send a report to the SR admins on the market site asking them to do an audit as I do with all vendors who are brought to my attention via the forums who would seem to be in need of closer scrutiny.

I therefore fail to see anything irregular or wrong in my posts that would convey that I did otherwise and or could not care about the issue:

Hopefully you will have a resolution sorted out soon, please report back on the outcome.

You would seem to be not alone in experiencing issues with this vendor, when a vendor is unresponsive it is most certainly taken into consideration by the admins who review resolution process if the two parties have been unable to come to an agreement. In this case it would seem that this vendor will probably be demoted anyway in which case you can probably expect a full refund with no damage to your stats.

At least you are in escrow and have the support of the resolution admins, if the vendor is proven to be scamming you can expect a refund with no damage to your stats.

If these responses did not meet your expectations then you are entitled to your opinion but as I have already stated I reported the vendor as is standard procedure in such circumstances. If you think I should have done more then well as I said you are entitled to your opinion, my responses were IMHO appropriate and proportionate to the situation.

Having just taken another look at WorldWHITE's vendor page now yes I agree it looks like that vendor needs banning urgently, something that is the responsibility of the market site admins.

You seem particularly attached to this issue, I hope my responses have in some way answered any questions you may have on the matter. This has now been reported twice, if you have an issue with how SR is responding to this vendor I would invite you to submit a customer support ticket via the market site and raise your concerns with those who deal with such matters.

I have one in transit  :)

nomad is doing well and he was a great asset to this community during his time here, awesome mod and mentor.

Unconfirmed orders (processing) can be cancelled by the buyer after 4 days, before then only the vendor can cancel.

Customer support / Re: Cocaine Vendor WorldWHITE is a Scam
« on: June 20, 2013, 08:26 am »
Hi all,

I had the same issues with this lowlife crook. He is reliable when it comes to accepting resolutions, though, hence fucking your stats.
I reported this scam several times and absolutely NO action was EVER taken by SR staff.

@samesamebutdifferent: you don't reply to the main issue here. Yes, Bugzee is in RC and will be refunded. Still his stats are raped. And as Whorldwhite is selling mainly to noobs, chances are high the order will Autofinalize, as most are not aware of when and how to correctly use the RC. SR is aware of this scamming as FACT and don't do SHIT about it. Why would that be? SR is cashing in on each finalized transaction. That would be the issue.
Out of sheer curiosity, did you read into his vendor page (before you replied, that is)?
Cos if you did, you'd know he's a scammer. And frankly speaking I would have expected a somewhat different action than this C/P BS reply.
And if you didn't, you don't care if he was.

Either way SR is not doing anything to prevent this scam and noobs to be raped, just as OP correctly stated.
Yeah you're just a mod and blablabla..

Ahhh Joolz you are one persistent little fellow, shame you are so dumb you can't even manage to change your writing style between your shills.

So will this be it for a while now then? you trying to defame me in customer support making mountains out of molehills in a piss weak effort to try and stir up drama as per usual? please do yourself a favor and get some professional help, I think you have either really have lost the plot or your IQ falls somewhere in the mid to low 50's range, or maybe both.

Oh and if I'm wrong about you being Joolz I do apologize, it's just that you remind me so but about him.

Hi all,

@ Bugzee you posted in another thread about this. WW will come back and evt. accept the resolution. So you'll have your money back, but your stats will be affected. Yes, he is that a lowlife.
@ Samesamebutdifferent I asked you in the other thread about WW being a scammer, whether you took a moment of your time to read his profile. Obviously you didn't, neither before, nor after you replied an C/P BS answer, as I called it in the other thread. Your serving this vague reply exactly a day after your previous reply in the other thread. Do you really think this is of help to anyone? Again, the issue here is that SR doesn't do shit about the known fact he is a scammer.  Don't you feel you should have done a little research prior to replying (twice)? Ain't scamming not a sufficiently grave accusation? WTF.
How about you spared a moment of your time now? Even if you couldn't do anything about it (I dunno how SR works in that regard), you'd, at least have a documented and solid personal opinion about it. How about two minutes of your life so not to look like a lazy and  careless wanker to everyone being scammed right NOW?

Hi Jason

It would seem you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about but that's ok feel free to hurl abuse in my direction if it makes you feel better. For your information the forums and the market site are entirely two different entities and as a moderator I have no access to information regarding vendors on the market site, thae ability to ban or do anything for that matter. What I can and DID do however was pass the name of WorldWHITE up to the SR admins alerting them to the fact that a number of people were reporting issues on the forums and I requested that the admins take a closer look.

In future I would invite you to get your facts straight before running your mouth off casting dispersions about what you perceive that I may care or care not about, especially when you clearly have no idea how the forums and market site work.

Good day to you Joolz, oops sorry I mean Jason  ;)
