You could start by checking out the SR wiki, here is the link:

Please be sure to hit 'report vendor' on the market site if you observe behavior that causes you to believe a vendor is up to no good. I will pass the name of this vendor up for a closer look too.

The only LIAR is DealerofDrugs...

And the King gets rid of LIARS and SCAMMERS!

 ;D

I think the meth rant in the MDMA avengers thread sealed the deal for me last night, chemist? really? I nearly spat my red wine all over my computer when I read that little gem  :)

Australian buyers must be as dumb as bricks for buying from vendors selling other vendor's product they have imported, they are basically being deceived and conned out of their money. Oh yes, it's quite easy to tell who got what from who, & who imported what from who.

People wake up and realize these people are making a mint off your naivety . .. I have nothing against these vendor's personally but this bullshit has to stop and prices must come down for domestic buyers.

Why?

Put me in the dumb as brick category then lolcats because I have bought domestic and paid the premium for guaranteed next day delivery instead of waiting two weeks hoping my order makes it.

Its a service you can chose to use or not, many people would rather pay an extra $150 to avoid the risk of customs and know their gear will land in time for the weekend, fuck it I can afford it and so can many others.

For those who are happy to run the gauntlet with customs, no shows, checking drops, etc then they can charge a premium for their service, you are showing an incredible amount of nativity in your post, nobody makes you pay anything, if you had the IRL hookups you wouldn't be on SR in the first place.

Rumor mill / Re: Gspot's account is completely compromised
« on: July 13, 2013, 12:35 pm »
How do we know this 60 post account is not just blowing smoke up everyone ass to sway away business from gspot?)

Post count doesn't always count for much, by way of example yours has only grown over the past few weeks, before that you were a nobody on these forums under the name DealerOfDrugs. The point I am making is everyone should always take anything posted here on an anonymous forum with a pinch of salt. These forums are manipulated all the time by people operating multiple accounts, building them up the using them to influence opinion, spread FUD, discredit their competition etc etc.

It is impossible to verify everything that is posted, use your discretion and act accordingly.

No one should be FE for a new vendor who hasn't met the criteria to ask for FE, if you see that behavior report it immediately.

Secondly no one should be FE for domestic AU regardless, just stop doing it period and it will help stem the tide of FE scamming.

Escrow is there for a reason, please use it and always refuse to FE no matter what the vendor tells you.

Mate.... I bet you get tired of saying the same thing... over and over again. People just don't listen :( +1

I should have some templates I can copy and paste from hey, you never know if I keep on repeating myself the message might actually stick but the main issue is most of those people FE are not using the forums so the message isn't reaching those who need to hear it the most.

Spread the word to all newbies, use the forums like your bible!

Customer support / Re: Order canceled, lost BTC?
« on: July 13, 2013, 09:29 am »
Hey,

ty for reply. I've read about the hedged order in the forum, but shouldn't i get any advice that this vendor is doing hedged orders?
Anyway, yes, the BTC i got back should be the money i paid for this order....

Thats really annoying :-(

It will state next to the item you are trying to buy whether the item is hedged or not. The hedging system protects you remember so even if it seems annoying on this occasion imagine how you would have felt if you had ordered and it had not arrived and then you had gone through the resolution process requesting a refund and value of BTC has dropped big time since you placed the order, you would then be looking at a considerable loss. You basically got back what you put in on this occasion so you were not disadvantaged, just because the value of BTC may have risen on this occasion in the time your order was pending it could just have easily gone the other way, something to think about anyway.

It sounds like the order you tried to place was hedged which would mean that you got the same dollar value amount back in BTC to the value of the item you tried to buy. The value of BTC fluctuates all the time, hedging protects buyers against the volatility of the currency, does the dollar value you received back in BTC equal the value of the item you tried to buy?

Off topic / Re: Atlantis is shady as hell
« on: July 13, 2013, 08:53 am »
The phishing site has the same server version and time as the real site, and if you create an account on the phishing site, you can log in on the main site.

The phishing site is not a phishing site at all. It's run by the Atlantis admins. It's a second onion address that points to the same server.

I believe they are using it as a form of deniable marketing. They are behind this spam, but they want to make it look like a phisher is doing it, and the "fools" who sign up on the phishing site will go on to use their site as normal.

I've also noticed the Atlantis spam has started at precisely the same time as some of the bitcoin spam, coincidence? on at least 3 occasions recently now it has commenced simultaneously where I have been deleting the forum accounts of both.

Either way I wouldn't trust a site that engages in such underhand tactics, they have tried to pull all sorts of shit trying to lure vendors over to them as well, dodgy PM's pretending to be buyers, shady as fuck if you ask me.

IM going to cancel it. Fuck it. He still ain't back

I think that is the right thing to do mate, I'd be slightly concerned if a vendor just went awol without posting a notice on their vendor page.

1349
I'm a noob, obviously..and am wondering if I buy from a vendor here for BTC, how do I pay for that process? or if I go to mtgox, and I use a moneygram..or whatever its called, how do I get it to them and do it the right way?

Basicially what im saying is I'm in need of BC but unsure on how to go about it! Thanks for any help

A lot will depend on what country you are in when it comes to sourcing BTC. I would strongly advise against using MP (Money Pak) for BTC, this is one of the most common scams on SR.

Best thing you can do to get you started is have a thorough read of the SR wiki, here is the link:

https://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion.to/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

Once you have had a good read of that and done some research on the forums come back here if you still have any unanswered questions. When first starting out it is beneficial for you to educate yourself on as many SR related matters as possible, if you are struggling with BTC purchases it suggestes to me you have a lot of reading ahead of you before making any orders.

Good luck!
