Customer support / Re: Need to Cancel an Order: Scammer asking for FE
« on: September 22, 2013, 02:46 am »
As cirrus said message support and take the order into resolution as soon as you are able, lucky for you that you didn't FE.

You read the buyers guide! you don't know how pleasing that is for me to read, I only wish more people did the same as you and yes you are correct there is a warning there advising not to finalize an order before you have received it and are happy.

But apparently you haven't read the sellers guide which clearly states that any vendor less then 30 days old will be banned if they request FE. Yet you guys allow new vendors all day long for weeks and weeks and weeks to carry on their FE scams.

Yes DrMDA I have read the sellers guide and all vendors that I become aware of that do not adhere to the rules are reported by me to the admins and your assertions that we "allow new vendors all day long for weeks and weeks and weeks to carry on their FE scams" is a gross misrepresentation and you know it. Yes some FE scams still go down from time to time, for as long as some people are foolish enough to fall for obvious FE scams there will be incentive to pull them.

Fucking hell, first post has been redacted but its been up for a while so the damage has already been done.

OP what were you thinking?

214
wow thanks for the false warning. Admins of sr are contributing nothing to this. Pretty sure in the buyer guide theres a warning on finalising early. Oh well, suck it up and learn not to fe unless you can accept a loss noobs.

using pgp not only add a layer of protection for yourself- but it also says that you are serious about staying safe - i wont do business with anyone is not also serious about safety- its not that difficult- also here is a link to the whonix stuff that was menioned- this is about using a usb- but a search on the main forums reveals a ton of info- also astor and pine have made some great posts about security precautions

Bazille's tutorial is excellent but I suspect it might frighten a few people off, especially those who may not be very tech savvy. Just setting up Whonix hosted on Virtual Box is actually very straightforward and does not require a huge amount of computer knowledge and know how. Obviously if you want a high level of security it is worth the time and effort to get your head around what is required and make it happen. If however you just want to step up your security to something a lot more robust than just using the Tor Browser Bundle you might want to consider Whonix by itself, check out their website (clearnet)

https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Main_Page

You can still save the VM's on encrypted media like an SD card or USB so that they are not saved on your machine.

Does your pin still work now though? you said you could use it to make purchases but when you try to change it it says you have entered it incorrectly, is that an accurate description of your issue?

Bottom line though given PIN resets are automated if you are having an issue you might as well just bite the bullet and reset it, SR admins cannot change your pin manually.

Customs are not sitting idly by though and I have it on good authority AU customs have changed their tactics, they may be scanning more letter mail than before or as someone recently suggested to me they could be using other methods to detect MBB, e.g. metal detection.

I have no solid proof of either of these theories but having recently lost an MBB'd order from a vendor whom I trust, I can therefore only conclude that my letter was subjected to something more than a canine sweep, or I just got unlucky, who knows...

Out of interest, do you think AU customs are so good because their main focus is on small animals/insects that could destroy habitat or are they focused heavily on drugs too? Would you say drugs come second and because their focus on the other is so strong, more drugs parcels are caught?

Personally I think there are a number of factors that converge to create challenges, for one nearly all international mail entering Australia comes in via the Sydney mail center. Customs officers also work in teams for several months at a time so they get their eye in for spotting stealth and packaging techniques so they can profile some methods fairly easily.

Customs services have also had their funding cut so I wouldn't be supervised if they were trying to justify their existence this year so they can say "hey look at all these drugs coming in, if you cut our funding Australia will be flooded with dangerous drugs, think of the children!"

I'm sure a lot of drugs also just get caught up in the bio security dragnet but like I said I suspect its more a combination of factors making AU a country you need to up your stealth methods for.

Security / Re: Tor update warning: Tor might not protect you from NSA

Update: it may be that Tor can't protect you against NSA's large-scale Internet surveillance, and it may be that no deployed anonymous communication tool can. We're also working on educational materials to explain the issues. Stay tuned!

Well all the signs have been pointing in that direction, time for completely new system, the Tor life support machine just had the plug pulled :(

Hi Guys

New seller here, my nick on SR is chompermelbourne.  Currently selling Valium, but if i can get some loyal customers I'm looking at expanding into a bunch of other pharmas (xanax, stilnox, viagra, mondifil).

I have a rock solid supply chain and have been in the business a long time (albeit not on SR)

Right now I'm doing cheap prices and free shipping to build up my rep.  While I'll always try to provide the best prices  the free shipping will definitely be gone soon.

I'm always open to deals and/or if you've got something special you are looking for zap me a message and I'll see if I can help.

If any one has any constructive criticism or hints to help me build sales I'm all ears.

Thanks again

C

Are you going to open some more vendor accounts like chompergoldcoast and chompersydney? ;)

Yes,  I'm looking at a model of expansion all over the eastern seaboard, I will be franchising the Chomper name all up and down the coast to budding Valium selling entrepreneurs.  We are currently in negotiations with BP to place a ChomperBP drug dispensary in every service station up and down the pacific highway to greater serve your needs*

*i made all that up.

But seriously, my name is chomper, and i like Melbourne, makes sense to me!

Get this added to your name quick then ®

I have it from a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE (meaning someone I know) that the CIA will bring drugs into the USA. They have been caught by another US agency (the department of the Interior - the secret service also known as THE BORDER PATROL) and were told by their superiors to let them pass.

Did CIA agents themselves bring the drugs in or did they allow smugglers to bring it in?

When they were backing the contras they flew the coke in themselves as far as I know, used shell companies to charter planes etc to try to put some distance between themselves and what they were doing but they didn't try to hard. There is a really good docco called last great white hope (I think that's the correct name) that covers this issue, in 1996 Gary Webb wrote a series of articles published in the San Jose Mercury News, which investigated Nicaraguans linked to the CIA-backed Contras who had smuggled cocaine into the U.S. which was then distributed as crack cocaine into Los Angeles and funneled profits to the Contras.

CIA Director John M. Deutch went to Los Angeles to attempt to refute the allegations raised by the Webb articles, and was famously confronted by former Los Angeles Police Department officer Michael Ruppert, who testified that he had witnessed it occurring. It is one of the best moments where someone is called out in the most public way and has nothing to come back with.

Yes I got some of that from Wikipedia but watch the docco, it's very good.

Good work mate, next project for you is how to spoof your mac address and set up VM isolation on your computer using Virtual Box ;) I'm being serious by the way.

Any more info on this? I've got PGP down, and now I want to step in up another notch.

Spoofing your mac address on a mac is very easy, you just need to open the terminal box and type in some commands, a quick google search with provide you with the step by step instructions.

Re VM isolation I can highly recommend Whonix, very easy to set up and use and really takes your online security to the next level.

SR is not responsible for anyone who FE.  Anyone who FE , especially with a new vendor they dont have long history with, is a dumbass asking to be robbed. In my humble opinion.
NEVER FE.  Why is the simplest rules of the game so hard for some to understand.

I agree with you but have to admit I did the same myself at the beginning because I dove in without reading up on the whole SR process and rules, advice etc. but if enough members (maybe not enough re: WD) make complaints to raise a flag then maybe they should step in briefly to halt a possible scam. Some of the scams are more obvious and easy to spot so maybe for that situation some sort of action should materialize.

Maybe a little more cradling for newbies could be exercised!

Personally I think the FE option to be done away with altogether and all vendors forced to use escrow for at least the first 5 days of confirming an order, 5 days would build in a decent buffer to prevent large scale FE scams as most orders should arrive within 5 days if you are ordering domestically. Or alternatively people could just not FE.
