Support + Captcha Launch: Jan 31st (UPDATE 6)

UPDATE 5: The new CAPTCHA system has been implemented, resolving the affected login failures.The support UI integration is almost complete as well. Our latest test pass in our offline environment revealed that while placing tickets older than seven days into a "Resolved" status, the system would occasionally throw an error which gets placed into the ticket and caused it to re-open all those it had processed.

We are troubleshooting the root cause of the error as we speak. Once that is found/rectified, we will attempt another sync and implement it into production. Apologies for yet another delay, but once complete, support will be able to respond quicker than at any point in Silk Road's history.

UPDATE 4: The hardening took more hours than expected, the dev team has delivered the improved code to the security team but they are still in the process of testing it. We apologize for the delays getting this out. This fix to the new release was essential and could not be postponed. Our next opportunity to release is in ~10-14 hours with all dev staff online. Will update here when we know the exact time.

UPDATE 3: Launch is unlikely for the 28th, our security team just raised a very valid concern. We are playing it safe, hardening code, then will be launching on the 29th. Staff apologies for the delays, we prioritize security above features no matter how long-awaited they are.

UPDATE 2: A server update is taking longer than expected. Rather than be offline for more than an hour, we are pushing back the window again. As a result of this update the downtime will only be thirty minutes, and will start at 17:00 UTC.

UPDATE: Pushed back a few hours to 15:00 to ensure that all of the dev team is online during the launch, and because one of your admins is very hungover. Good morning cruel world.

The team has been working very hard behind the scenes to keep deposits/withdrawals flowing quickly, and to continue scaling our infrastructure in ways that still preserve security.

We are now ready to launch two important changes to the marketplace:
1. New Support System - Staff has had access to an incredible new support interface for over a week now, and after security test results we have decided that it is safe to continue the rollout to marketplace customers. You may notice a new response from staff which you did not previously see. This is not a bug, it is a symptom of staff testing the new interface by responding to you before launch.

IMPORTANT: In order to help staff resolve the massive support backlog as quickly as possible, we are marking all issues over seven days old as resolved. This does not mean we are ignoring you. If you are affected by this, simply open the support request and add a new message. This will re-open the request. This might seem like a strange approach, but it will allow our staff to focus on actually resolving issues rather than sending hundreds of "Does this issue still exist?" responses.

2. CAPTCHA Improvement - We have rewritten the CAPTCHA system, resolving a bug affecting login and registration.

Staff appreciates your support as we have been heads-down writing and testing these updates.

I will update this post when the launch is complete.

What about all the numerous support tickets, some going back over two months? Will all the efforts to file support requests have been in vain then or have the existing support requests been imported into your support system so those with persisting problems only have to mark their tickets as open?

Just because The Silk Road team hasn't given you an explanation of exactly what's going on doesn't mean they are lying to you. Can you still get quality drugs through your letterbox? Yes? Then quiet down and be gratefull!

I wish i had sand in my vagina... it would be alot more comfortable then what ive been going through... I cant even advertise my product on other markets that actually allow me to sell my product without the mods marking it as spam.... they go for days at a time without a single word on the vendor issue but as soon as you advertise a place where people can actually buy your product, its edited and removed within minutes.. please get your priorities  straight, and I prey to jesus this new support system can fix my account within 24 hours... which is what I originally prayed for over a fucking week ago

Just think about what you’re complaining about. I’m sure you have a right to complain since you put your hard earned money into something expecting to make a return. But check this, you are most likely selling something that is illegal to the people who are willing to buy it over the internet. I’m not sure enough people can explain this. Be grateful you have a reason to complain about something, I guess you could just be stuck selling out of your car. Or your other markets.

Have you tried messaging any of the other Staff? If the other staff have enough priviliged access to fix this sort of issue then Defcon would literally be the worst person to message to have this fixed. If other staff are capable you would be much better off asking them.

I cant even advertise my product on other markets that actually allow me to sell my product without the mods marking it as spam.... they go for days at a time without a single word on the vendor issue but as soon as you advertise a place where people can actually buy your product, its edited and removed within minutes.. please get your priorities  straight, and I prey to jesus this new support system can fix my account within 24 hours... which is what I originally prayed for over a fucking week ago

Just think about what you’re complaining about. I’m sure you have a right to complain since you put your hard earned money into something expecting to make a return. But check this, you are most likely selling something that is illegal to the people who are willing to buy it over the internet. I’m not sure enough people can explain this. UPDATE: Pushed back a few hours to 15:00 to ensure that all of the dev team is online during the launch, and because one of your admins is very hungover. Good morning cruel world.

The team has been working very hard behind the scenes to keep deposits/withdrawals flowing quickly, and to continue scaling our infrastructure in ways that still preserve security.

We are now ready to launch two important changes to the marketplace:
1. New Support System - Staff has had access to an incredible new support interface for over a week now, and after security test results we have decided that it is safe to continue the rollout to marketplace customers. You may notice a new response from staff which you did not previously see. This is not a bug, it is a symptom of staff testing the new interface by responding to you before launch.

IMPORTANT: In order to help staff resolve the massive support backlog as quickly as possible, we are marking all issues over seven days old as resolved. This does not mean we are ignoring you. If you are affected by this, simply open the support request and add a new message. This will re-open the request. This might seem like a strange approach, but it will allow our staff to focus on actually resolving issues rather than sending hundreds of "Does this issue still exist?" responses.

2. CAPTCHA Improvement - We have rewritten the CAPTCHA system, resolving a bug affecting login and registration.

Staff appreciates your support as we have been heads-down writing and testing these updates.

Thanks for the update but a quick suggestion just for visibility.

When scrolling through the forum and seeing a post that just says "Planned Downtime" I don't necessarily think the post will also contain important updates on the CAPTCHA and Support systems; I just think it will have further information about the planned maintenance. While these updates are most likely going to be implemented during the downtime and it makes sense to include them in this post - at least for me - I didn't think I was going to find that kind of information based solely on the subject line.

Maybe add something like "+ CAPTCHA and Support Systems Update?" Just so people are aware that these issues are being addressed in this thread. Something to consider, I could be wrong.

Otherwise great job and thanks for the info.

We can still buy things online and have them delivered, pretty fast, faster than Amazon with some UK vendors and reliable with EU vendors, who take more time but we still see that enveope on the doormat which is a ticket to ride!

Moaning at things is hardly going to inspire anyone. We had some guy in our works who moaned about everything, ended up with a welder kicking his moaning ass. Since then he has been great. No trouble.

Don't forget to check if your support request is included in the support system once it gets operational and to mark it as unresolved if it is there. Apparently all support requests older than a week have been marked as resolved by SR.

I've never once complained about how the site was running with the bugs, they didn't bother me too much and I didn't want the SR staff getting more abuse when we all know they are working extremely hard on fixing these errors, I mean, this site is revolutionary! And only a handful of people have the know-how and are willing to take the risk for us loyal buyers to keep this ship afloat. So I say kudos and many thanks to the SR team as the site certainly seems to be leveling out nicely now :)

One thing that I would really like to see though is buyer stats and a resolution centre in place like the old SR but that's low priority so once the major bugs are sorted that's another thing I would work on.

Exactly. I'm not a vendor but I have strong reason to believe you won't see AF implemented anytime soon. None of the dev's have mentioned it or even hinted to it.

that s fucked up! please sort this asap,I m not rich and need this money badly.

Support on the main site would help with lockouts.  I've been locked out for 2 months.  I'm very much looking forward to this release.

A great many people, both buyers and vendors, have been complaining about not being to log in to the market. The captcha bug appears to be the main cause of this.

same goes for the negative balance .and other bugs.

Again, the inability to access funds because of negative balances is something that many people have expressed exasperation and anger about.

And this folks is how the staff and their friends respond when you want to know why delays have been ongoing since December....

they don't address the problem at all.

This update is not going to help me, BTW, Green-Machine.

The captcha issue, negative balances, rampant scammers, and everything else is affecting customers and this update is supposed to help with that. I ee posts all day long, customers who are out hundreds, some thousands of dollars. Scammers that were allowed to sit here for a long time, even though they were known about....

You can ridicule me all you want, but some people really see beyond the constant excuses this place has given



edit: for instance : here is a simple idea that I just saw in a customer thread . update the market home page and put a notice or link to the forums and say "there is a lot of finalize early scams going on right now, please double check the forum for vendor reviews as well as the marketplace"
 
This would take a few minutes to implement and could help curb problems..if there is some kind of security breach that could come out of editing the home page text, then please elaborate me  ..................... everyone just shuts everyone else down, tells them to fuck off, makes weird sexual references about horses or something (thats you ) and whatever else they can spew...

No answers though, just flaming

While the community is not really trying to embrace a sink or swim approach, you seem very new to all of this and dont seem to understand that these things that are going on are the same things that always go on, and always have been going on.

Scammers will scam no matter how much moderation and regulation. Yes, there are ways to address a lot of it, and those are being considered/developed.

I've always been a karmic stand up fellow who belives in positive business ethics, and I feel poorly for those who got suckered in, but while I may be a positive guy, I have a natural self defense mechnaism when it comes to these markets which involves making rational less-risky decisions.

If your irrational enough to send a money card with the pin without putting the order in escrow, then you're going to learn a difficult but needed lesson. I've been burned here many times in the past, but each time I get burned I learn how to work better and safer around the pitfalls.

And on top of that these scammers get immediate negative feedback. If you are not even bothering to read feedback your just beyond lazy.

What you are ignoring is the fact that they ARE working on these things, and they ARE a priority and they ARE going to roll the changes out very soon. Your complaint every 6-12 hours on the subject does not resolve anything and only makes you come across as overwrought with emotion. Recall that your emotion does not have a constructive place in this picture. The things are already developed or in the process of being tweaked. Your emotion does not change the need for security. You seem very young and are not considering the technical nature and the amount of time/manpower needed to run a organization of this size.

In short, Chill out.

I haven't made any posts regarding these releases in a while, and patiently was awaiting this one thinking finally they might actually have something ready.

As far as the scam goes - the reason the scams are so rampant right now isb ecause people are faking feedback like crazy. Thats why I suggested telling buyers to use the forums, a vendor can't fake his feedback as easily on the forums.

Problem is, most buyers don't use the forums, which is why I thought my suggestion (which was a forwarding of a buyers suggestion) was a good idea

But again, you have avoided that altogether, told me everything is being worked on, and to chill out.
 I'm done now, but this again, is why we get no where with staff.

Well at least we don't have to deal with the captcha bug anymore; that shit was extremely frustrating.

Getting the full Support UI implemented is going to be huge; I'm sure a wave of relief will run over people who have old (1 week+) support tickets laying in the database.

UPDATE 5: The new CAPTCHA system has been implemented, resolving the affected login failures.The support UI integration is almost complete as well. Our latest test pass in our offline environment revealed that while placing tickets older than seven days into a "Resolved" status, the system would occasionally throw an error which gets placed into the ticket and caused it to re-open all those it had processed.

We are troubleshooting the root cause of the error as we speak. Once that is found/rectified, we will attempt another sync and implement it into production. Apologies for yet another delay, but once complete, support will be able to respond quicker than at any point in Silk Road's history.

UPDATE 4: The hardening took more hours than expected, the dev team has delivered the improved code to the security team but they are still in the process of testing it. We apologize for the delays getting this out. This fix to the new release was essential and could not be postponed. Our next opportunity to release is in ~10-14 hours with all dev staff online. Will update here when we know the exact time.

UPDATE 3: Launch is unlikely for the 28th, our security team just raised a very valid concern. We are playing it safe, hardening code, then will be launching on the 29th. Staff apologies for the delays, we prioritize security above features no matter how long-awaited they are.

UPDATE 2: A server update is taking longer than expected. Rather than be offline for more than an hour, we are pushing back the window again. As a result of this update the downtime will only be thirty minutes, and will start at 17:00 UTC.

UPDATE: Pushed back a few hours to 15:00 to ensure that all of the dev team is online during the launch, and because one of your admins is very hungover. Good morning cruel world.

The team has been working very hard behind the scenes to keep deposits/withdrawals flowing quickly, and to continue scaling our infrastructure in ways that still preserve security.

We are now ready to launch two important changes to the marketplace:
1. New Support System - Staff has had access to an incredible new support interface for over a week now, and after security test results we have decided that it is safe to continue the rollout to marketplace customers. You may notice a new response from staff which you did not previously see. This is not a bug, it is a symptom of staff testing the new interface by responding to you before launch.

IMPORTANT: In order to help staff resolve the massive support backlog as quickly as possible, we are marking all issues over seven days old as resolved. This does not mean we are ignoring you. If you are affected by this, simply open the support request and add a new message. This will re-open the request. This might seem like a strange approach, but it will allow our staff to focus on actually resolving issues rather than sending hundreds of "Does this issue still exist?" responses.

2. CAPTCHA Improvement - We have rewritten the CAPTCHA system, resolving a bug affecting login and registration.

Staff appreciates your support as we have been heads-down writing and testing these updates.

What's amazing is SR2 is steadily progressing, but seeing that is still not enough for some people. They want SR to hold their fucking hands and explain every little thing they do when they have absolutely no obligation to do so. SR1 would go down for days without updates or warnings. You're lucky the admins have updated us as well as they have thus far. The constant bitching even after SR2 has come through again and again and done nothing but progress (albeit slowly) since it started is getting really annoying.

See the guy above me. He wants to know when auto-finalize is coming back. SR hasn't said anything about auto-finalize recently (I think) but they said in the past that it would be re-enabled once the resolution center was in place, which is what makes the most logical sense. But people just can't make that connection. They want to be told directly from SR staff about every little detail otherwise they think they're being ignored. Do people honestly think the resolution center is coming but auto-finalize isn't? That makes no fucking sense. Here they are, working hard to give you guys exactly what you want, and it's still not enough.

I'm done bitching about the bitching now though.

Can everyone confirme the captcha issue is fixed? I've just experienced it twice through the vendor URL. I do not think our vendor URL changes anything but I would appreciate hearing feedback from the community for confirmation on this resolved issue.

EDIT -

My thoughts are that the way the new system is written, I do not believe it is possible to right click 'view image' to preview the 'correct' captcha and then click back to type it. I think that it generates a new captcha upon the 'view image' and then clicking back does not allow you to use that same captcha. Still want more feedback however :)

I am still experiencing the captcha bug,got finally in after 6th attempts

Good to hear things are moving on ... And yeah Resolution Center coming will surely be followed soon with AF . I guess the issue is just getting all tickets handled and for what it sounds it ain't going to take all that long ...

No captcha failures here, either. It was a small nuisance for us, but appreciate its being fixed. Very much looking forward to seeing the new resolution system going live, and the diligence of the dev and testing teams is greatly appreciated.

What many here fail to realize is that developing good, SECURE software (which MUST be priority #1 in a darknet marketplace) takes considerable time and effort. Writing the code is the easy part; the hard part is breaking down and unit-testing every single piece of that software and rigorously trying to break it. So that the testers find and the coders fix those bugs before they ever are exposed to the live marketplace where an exploit could be disastrous.

Have patience. We all have gripes and there are some VERY serious issues which need to be addressed (autofinalize), and features which must be implemented ASAP (buyer stats, etc.) But more than that I thank the devs and testers for your diligence. Keep it up.

To whoever still somehow thinks this is the resolution centre being implemented. IT IS NOT.

It is different, seperate, it is the support centre, and does not involve resolving order disputes, auto finalization, or anything of that matter.

For those having the captcha error and not being able to log in.. keep trying! I'm getting it as well but after 5 or 6 attempts I got in.

I'm sure the SR team will get on it soon! No need to complain, just let them know. There are more important things at hand, like, um, maintaining anonymity!

Much worse than before. I tried a few dozen times or so, always saying the captcha is wrong.

This. I got in fine this morning but now even after 10 attempts I can't get in - unsure why this is such a difficult issue to fix?

 I logged in every time on 1st attempt when accessing the site through the redirect link on the forum.

If I enter url ,takes 6/7 attempt.

I've noticed one thing and would love if a moderator/admin/developer could chime in....Agora marketplace seems to run very functionally, and it has no captcha system at all.

Is there a reason we can't just scrap the captcha and have just a login username/password? Does it have to do with ddos attacks or something I'm not aware of?

Also, one other thing I noticed, is that on silk road marketplace, I can log in, using either Tragicallyhip, TragicallyHip, tragicallyhip  .... etc.

Caps don't affect the username at all. At agora or pandora marketplace, your username needs to be capitalized the same way as when you made the account.

Why does this not happen here? I mean it may only be a small thing but that seems like something that could add security to me? If someone was bruteforcing etc?

i tried that... still didnt work until i got a captcha which was the same as the original image... is this meant to be fixed? i dont think they did a very good job if so

Captcha has improved :) Isn't perfect yet but it's better. Not too bothered if i have a couple of failed log in attempts before getting on :)

We're now way past January 28th, when it was originally supposed to be released (the support center). Now we're two days past January 31, the third update update we were given....yeah

By responding to the complaints I would only be repeating what has already been said. Any new information that we feel would be helpful to the public is announced; announcing it twice would not serve any purpose.

I realize that these issues are irritating.

But the staff have already informed the community of all relevant updates, and is it not better that I show my presence, albeit in a light-hearted manner, than stay completely silent?

If my attempt to keep spirits somewhat elevated is not appreciated during this difficult round of feature updates, bug fixes and support implementation, then I can only apologize.

As you can see, the captcha bug is slowly being fixed; support implementation is taking longer than anticipated as security remains, as ever, our number one priority.

What else would you like me to say?

V, there you have it....I didn't even have to answer myself. Does that not show you something? I'm not just some whiny vendor complaining. A lot of people are being affected by all these issues plaguing SR and not one thing has been done about it. NOT ONE.

I hate the issues as much as anybody, but the whole situation is a "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" thing for the staff... on the one hand, when they get their heads down and act on things, people complain that they don't announce things often enough. Also , there HAS BEEN NO UPDATES WHATSOEVER TO SILK ROAD.

So I'd like to know, whether their heads are up or down, or whether they're answering us or not, they are not fucking doing anything.


That's one of the excuses they always liked to use too. Well we can't possibly make a two minute forum update in the middle of coding.

How could that possibly be done?

By the way, since early January. We have been given over 10 different update updates. Not a single feature has been released, and the updates have always been postponed. It's february, utopia is open, and silk road is really starting to look like a joke more and more each day...

In all seriousness though... I don't see myself as a fan boy, but I do think it's harsh that, seemingly, none of the staff are allowed a sense of humour.

So far, I've clocked a handful of comments from staff that have made me laugh but have made others lay into them.

Whether or not the staff members are doing a good job, why should we be trying to crush positivity?

For me, humour is very important. And I don't think the staff show enough of it... though, Defcon does have a remarkably sharp wit; I like him for that regardless of how good he is as an admin.

Anyway, fan boy, hater, fence-sitter... all just useless labels to me. Why do I have to take one of those labels just for trying to see some positivity amidst a torrent of marketplace functionality fuckups?

Ahh well. I've had my run in the play pen now. I'm going back into my den to cuddle my pen.

The staff might have been allowed some humour, in early January (january 3/4) when they told us all that the support centre was complete, and that the resolution centre was a work of art and near ready to be launched to the public.

It is now February and we have no updates. Defcon is MIA. The site is a piece of shit. There's people missing money left right and centre. Scammers are running rampant. Legitimate vendors have tons of money stuck in escrow. We are having so much trouble with a fucking captcha issue. The negative stock bug is still happening. Withdrawals + deposits are slower than any marketplace. There is a bug that allows people to order even if you choose to be in vacation mode. The simplest fixes haven't been fixed, and the big things we've been lied to about for months.

That is how my positive silk road attitude, turned into a what the fuck is going on here attitude.

It has been almost a full month since we lost vending privileges... we re-ordered our bond 7 days ago (we were told by other vendors to do this, mods do not bother talking about this issue anymore, except for the occasional lie to give our hopes up) Anyone who complains is called a whiner and told not to be negative.... we can not for the life of us see the positive side of losing thousands of dollars!

This is simply unacceptable, we will be offering 10% bonus's on our product for those who buy our product from UTOPIA... the further away we get from this place the safer we will feel with our money.

How can a whole market place be built from the ground up while SR could not even fix a captcha in the same amount of time? It simply is not right and does not add up.

For me at the moment the site is unusable. It takes forever to log in, and once I did last night I find my negative balance has grown to 0.615 BTC so I can't place an order even if I wanted to. I'm loth to move to an untested market and I don't need to re-up just yet, but if SR don't fix these things then I will have no choice but to go elsewhere.

So you are comparing regular internet web development to an illegal marketplace (currently the biggest by FAR) ran on a TOR Hidden Service. You have no clue, just stop. You're making yourself look like a fucking retard. You realize that SR is the biggest target for a hacker to try and take bitcoins from, right? SR2 is constantly under attack from people trying to find exploits to steal coins, do you not understand that? BMR was closed down due to losing BTC from a hack (which was fixed due to help from backopy). Like FrenchFries told you before, security is always #1. No it doesn't take 3 months to make a flawless CAPTCHA but that is not their concern right now. Their concern right now is making sure the site is secure, coins are not vulnerable to be stolen and is atleast functioning enough where people are able to place orders. Yes there are TONS of scams going on right now, but most buyers are fucking morons. The publicity from SR1 closure brought in a bunch of new users to this site, who I'm guessing are the majority of the dumbasses getting scammed for cheap FE listings. I have placed and received atleast 15 orders since SR2 opened. Haven't lost a fucking dime, but SR2 is a scam right? Lol.

Oh and that's not even including them having to account for LE.

To be fair to those of us who understand security and what it takes to run a secure site, it is clear that SR2 are facing a huge uphill battle, however, given the amount of money they are making from vendors and the amount of crap we are taking from buyers, why should they not be responding to or taking crap from us??  We paid a bond that, as far as we know, we are never going to see again.  We are losing money from buyers who won't FE, buyers who never finalized and buyers who believe the forums and think the slowdowns, downtime etc etc etc are 'selective scamming' by reputable vendors.  If I hear that ridiculous phrase again I will scream.  We are wasting time with melodramatic complaints and being badmouthed in forums.  It has also opened the market up to real scammers underming the rest of us.  We are forced to try and keep it together with untraceable orders, a non functional messaging system, no order numbers, site too slow to operate etc etc etc but get nothing from SR who are taking a hefty percentage of each purchase whether we have to give a refund or make any money or not.  We are having to provide 3 times the service and take 3 times the hit just to keep our heads above water.  It would appear that SR2 are not having trouble signing up new vendors however but still pointing to server load and security as the issues.

There is no rational reason why regular updates cannot be posted and bonds cannot be refunded.  How about STOP TAKING A PERCENTAGE UNTIL THE SITE IS FIXED????? I for one would be more than happy to see a few more minutes of sluggish performance in exchange for my escrow account to be forwarded to my account....

So you are comparing regular internet web development to an illegal marketplace (currently the biggest by FAR) ran on a TOR Hidden Service. You have no clue, just stop. You're making yourself look like a fucking retard. You realize that SR is the biggest target for a hacker to try and take bitcoins from, right? SR2 is constantly under attack from people trying to find exploits to steal coins, do you not understand that? BMR was closed down due to losing BTC from a hack (which was fixed due to help from backopy). Like FrenchFries told you before, security is always #1. No it doesn't take 3 months to make a flawless CAPTCHA but that is not their concern right now. Their concern right now is making sure the site is secure, coins are not vulnerable to be stolen and is atleast functioning enough where people are able to place orders. Yes there are TONS of scams going on right now, but most buyers are fucking morons. The publicity from SR1 closure brought in a bunch of new users to this site, who I'm guessing are the majority of the dumbasses getting scammed for cheap FE listings. I have placed and received atleast 15 orders since SR2 opened. Haven't lost a fucking dime, but SR2 is a scam right? Lol.

Oh and that's not even including them having to account for LE.

If you simply right click on the captcha image, a "Page Info" window will open, and show exactly what the captcha is. Most of the time they match, but occasionally they don't. Always enter what is shown in the "Page Info" window, and your captcha login troubles should be gone for good! :-)

tried this... still didnt work until the picture it showed matched up with the original picture on the log in screen

seems to work only for a select few people i suppose

There is no more escrow because of Defcon's mistakes. There is no more feedback because when removing the finalize button they somehow broke the feedback ability's. (convenient)

Not a single cent of any honest vendor who didn't beg for money back has been paid back. Not a cent. My available balance is still at 0$ and so are all the honest trustworthy vendors I know of.

I have singlehandedly pointed out more than six confirmed scammer accounts with proof. They have been active and known about for months. They were left to keep scamming.

It's ironic to note - all of you people are now going to be paid back with money that was commissioned off of the rampant scammers of the silk road.

So some of the money that will be paid back was stolen from honest good people that were scammed because the staff of silk road have not acted to rid the place of scammers

If you still think that is the way a marketplace should be run, I can only hope you too get scammed

I agree somewhat with what you have been saying.. However there is no need to have a go at people in a "I can only hope you too get scammed" manner. When has that approach ever changed peoples minds? Put across facts and speculation yes but with the attitude that you have went at some users recently is only going to put them on the defensive. I agree that some serious work needs to be done and trust regained. I see no reason why these scamming bastards have not yet been removed, surely it can be done with a few clicks of the mouse.
