So I was just having a browse through the weed listings on SR and came across a vendor called sellitall99. He is selling weed at very low prices. His purple kush is selling for about £35 a quarter, which,if you live in the UK, you would know that it is crazy low. I had a look through his feedback and the whole first two pages of his feedback look like they were written by the vendor himself. Here is the link to his profile.

The best we can do as a community is to collect as much information about the scammer that we can and then submit it to the support team with all of the information that will help the staff the you only need to submit it once and that is it, then we just wait for staff to take action and we as the community can post in the Rumor Mill with a single thread and share that same information that was submitted to the staff and leave it at that.

You have a right to vent and a right to express concern but creating multiple support tickets and threads about the same subject of someone scamming does not really help the situation at hand.

Patience is a virtue, remember the patience you had to have waiting for SilkRoad to reopen ? It is time to be constructive not destructive as a community.

There have been about 30 threads about this vendor.

SR literally do not have the facility to ban scammers. If you want to scam on the darknet, SR is the place to do it. They let scammers run rampant and do nothing to slow them down.

It's fine to say be careful, don't FE, research your vendors etc etc, and those of us that are meticulous enough about these things won't get scammed... but the fact still remains that 90% of users do not use the forums and are not careful enough. So if you want to be a scammer, SR is where you will make the most money.

1. If we were to focus our time on only removing scammers and not implementing features to stop them, more scammers would begin to take advantage of the fact that nothing is there to stop them. Eventually, this would lead to scammers popping up like daisies, faster than we had the man power to pluck them.

2. If we were to focus our time on only implementing prevention measures, the short-term would become disastrous - scammers do need dealing with in the short term, and we are doing this (several prolific scammers have been dealt with)

3. We are splitting our man power between these two tasks - so although removing scammers AND implementing prevention measures will take longer than doing just working on one of those options, the end result will be that both are satisfied.

So, let's assume that you understand that we do not have the man power to tackle both issues immediately and together, here's my question: Would you prefer that scammers continued to appear at the rate they have been doing recently, or would you prefer that they were eradicated eventually, and measures put in place to stop more appearing?

I'm sorry that we cannot work faster on implementing these new features, and I'm also sorry that we can't devote 100% of our time to removing scammers.

But we ARE working on both.

I understand that you are implementing advanced controls above and beyond what any other site has ever had in order to detect scammers. I assume this is going to be some sort of control around vendors changing the price of their items by a large amount which would indicate attempts to leave fake feedback, amongst other things. That's great, although I cannot imagine the coding for that to be too challenging.

I'm just banging my head against a wall here. Simple facts are we know he is a scammer, it's been reported for weeks across ~30 threads and multiple subreddits. You have not removed him. You know he is a scammer. He is still here. He is robbing your sites users. You are willingly allowing this to happen.

I don't know how else I can word it to get the point across. It's like a thief walking into a mall and start just stealing things off the shelves at will, and the mall staff let him carry on whilst discussing how to improve mall perimeter security to help detect any future thieves.

I've never been scammed. This thing isn't personal for me.

This is about the community and the movement. SR is the flagship and always will be, it all started with SR.

SR is currently flagrantly allowing scammers to rob the less competent, less informed, and less savvy users that will ALWAYS exist despite the best efforts of the community to promote education and OPSEC.

I checked the forums long before I did my first flip, and I research vendors I've never dealt with who have products I'm interested in before I buy.

I rely on you guys to keep me free of scams. Thanks By "you guys" I mean the community and not the mods.

If I have dealt with four vendors who didn't scam using my method then you guys here have helped with your vendor and products ratings and of course with all the money you've blown, coke you've snorted, buds you've smoked and hoes you have fucked (no hoes on sr unless its Moonbear).
