I'm just curious because I am constantly answering questions that are answered right on my profile.

Of course I do =).  I realize a lot of people don't.  I suspect that the majority of people here reading this will vote yes they read the entire thing because the people who actually take the time to read the vendors' profile are the same people who take the time to come on the forums and help out and share and get informed about what's going on with SR 2.0.

Yes. I always read what applies to myself. So PGP, Shipping times, Refund policies and any recent updates from the vendor I always look for. The only parts I over look is when they're going in to details of products which don't concern myself.

I judge a vendor a lot by the way they present their profile too. Too little information can be off putting to me as it just doesn't seem as professional. It's always nice if the vendor puts across some of his / her personality also as it seems more human and less business like.

Before I buy I'd absolutely read the whole vendor page and the whole product info page.

I assume the people asking questions haven't read your profile because they aren't that serious about buying in.

Great point there about the detail level.  I've seen vendor profiles with one sentence.  And within one second I leave their profile and head elsewhere if that's the case lol.

I always read everything I can. I want to know exactly where my money's going, what the terms are etc. before I even think about placing an order. I don't want my money to be tied up and later learn that I don't agree with the terms and could have gone elsewhere. And I find that I very rarely have to PM anyone unless I'm prepared to buy at that moment.

Gotta read before every purchase.  Regardless of history with vendor.  Who knows they may be out of stock or having some drama or have a new public PGP key.

Gotta read it every time.

I would say that the ones who don't read profiles are more than likely the ones who don't read the forum either. So the "I read it always" option will be high lol

Yes of course, all the information you need from the vendor is there

alot like to update regularly to keep their customers in the know, which is good stuff. Some vendors aren't active on the forums

Thank you :) Adding to that bad grammar and spelling can also be a little off putting. I'm always forgiving though if it's clear the vendors first language isn't English :)

This is interesting as surprising. At least half of the messages I send to buyers are "please see profile" or "your answer is in the FAQ". I didn't realize how bad it was until I started doing FE only because of the auto-finalize issue. People are just stuck in their ways to just purchase and wait for their gear that reading a profile is not important anymore. Whats crazy is that when I offer a sale they somehow seem to read again.

Yes, always. A vendor's profile and description makes a really big impression on me. For instance, I would probably never buy from someone who types in caps all the time, it just looks sketchy and bad. The more info you have and the better you present yourself, the more customers you will attract.

I think a better question is, "How could you not read a vendors page before you buy?"

Sounds like you need to offer even more sales then ;)

But seriously, yes, every vendor every order, reading them fully and completely every time gives me peace of mind that the vendor knows what they are doing and are on top of their game.  Untouched profiles, sloppy ones, short ones etc. say something about the vendor.  NCZ you obviously set off no flags with me :).  Looking forward to the Re-opening sale BTW.

Normally yes, but if I'm buying a low cost item and the vendor has pages of text, I'll skim through it. I take more time reading buyers reviews/feedback than the vendor profile.

The vast majority of customers either don't use these forums or don't even know they exist...I'd imagine it's these people who don't bother to read profiles.

The people of the forum are a fair bit more dilligent I would've thought.

1. Vendor Profile
2. Vendor Feedbacks
3. Search about this vendor on the forums
4. ? ? ?
5. Profit!

^^this... For christs sake it's not fucking amazon. You're ordering illegal drugs off an illegal website from an illegal vendor. How many more "illegals" will it take to read a few paragraphs for your own livelihood?

I would like to think that most peeps that havent gotten burned yet dont read anything. I read everything and still got burned 2 one SR1. great reviews just happen to fall for a trap. I read everything and ask anything that i need to that i dont see covered. Sometimes i even read them 2 or 3 times just to make sure. Many people are just to lazy to read. or to ignorant.

Profile is important, of course. But the forums are much more reliable. If I don't see good reviews on the forums, I won't trust a vendor. Period.

I'm going to reply and just appologize to the various vendors, again, about missing details on their profile pages.  I do read them.  In fact, I usually read them several times, but sometimes I just miss details, and I suppose that isn't exacly shocking because there's lots of details on the profile page.  I'm afraid part of being a vendor, or a parent, or an IT professional, or a boss, or anything really is just repeating yourself.

Knowledge is power! the more you know the less chance you have of looking like a dumb ass lol.

As a buyer I always read the profile and listing information as well as any information on the forums before I ask a question, simply because I know the majority of people are lazy and just ask a question with out doing any research.

I cant imagine how annoying this is going to be since I am about to launch my own vendor page.

I will take a lot of time writing out all the terms, FAQ, Shipping etc etc  and being very detailed and I know that a large percentage of people wont even take a second to look over that information. Its frustrating and annoying but he we are in the retail/customer service business.  lol

I tend to read 3-4 vendors profiles who offer the product I want from a location Im willing to receive from at a price Im willing to pay.

I love it when the vendor spells out the products they are offering, useful info, and of course the shipping rules.

If there is info about additional products I may skip that depending on how long it is.

Thus far I have not been scammed once, and have great experiences with several vendors. I have a short list of people I will use a market I dont trust to get ahold of. I always use encryption, and for those vendors I just FE to make sure that were both protected from rotten marketplace operators.

Im sure that most people dont though, as we have seen DPR say that only 4-5% of the userbase actually use the forum. I imagine that most of us whom use the forums are the kind of people who want to know whats going on with stuff, and will read most / all of more vendors profiles than they have time two order with.
Users of any marketplace should be treating them as if they are compromised. Protect yourself, learn PGP.

I'm happy to chat it up in PM, but unencrypted messages are deleted and your response will be my public key.

You are just an IDIOT of you do not read ALL of your vendors profile before ordering.  Nothing would annoy me more (If I was a vendor) to answer questions that are already on my profile.  So yeah do yourself and them a favor and read and then read again and read one more time for a full understanding of what to do when ordering.

There are people who don't read vendor profiles and feedback? That's what it's there for! How do these people even learn how to use bitcoin or access tor? No doubt it's the same poor souls who don't know how to use PGP. :/

I think some profiles look old and forgotten.  There should be a date stamp when it was last edited.
I'd rather poke and see if the vendor responds or not and it also gives an idea how soon the order will be processed.   Some vendors respond within hrs.  While some take Days.
I think I love you.

Read their profile page doesn't quite cover it , I study it, and I stalk the vendor.  Then assuming the page doesn't mention pms are getting out of hand.  Every time for an international vendor I message them.  By that stage I'm at the point where I'm happy with everything but want to get a general feeling that the guy at the other end can communicate and isn't at breaking point.  I do this because he will be sending drugs through customs with my details and as a buyer thats my policy.  If they don't answer I don't message back and I don't order.  I've never been scammed or lost a package and i'm well past 100 at 4 different markets.

Damn right I read the profile and ANYthing else I can find.
I want the process to be as painless as possible for all involved.
