Title: How to get bitcoins easily, and anonymously on SR (Northern Europe)
Post by: gavinhalo123 on February 25, 2013, 03:40 pm
I know that this question has been asked 1000x but I can't find a clear answer anywhere (people keep pointing at vlad1m1r but i've heard that he is no longer on SR)

I want to buy bitcoins, preferably cash, but I want to be sure it is anonymously. Yet need to make my first purchase here and I just want to be sure i'm untraceable.

Hi Gav,

This is vlad1m1r, how are you? :-)

Anyway, as you say I don't trade in Bitcoins any more due to the fact the filth came and seized my laptop on an unrelated manner and took most of the Bitcoins I was using with them. Still onwards and upwards.

These days when I do need Bitcoins myself I buy them through LocalBitcoin dot com. If you're still at a loose end, send me a message and I'll give you some tipson how to get hold of Bitcoins anonymously via MtGox (it is possible but rather difficult).

All the best,

V.

Hi Nate.

Was the unrelated matter anything to do with child pornography?

Hi Darth,

Oh I see what you did there... laptop seizure and all that. Perhaps you were trying to get a rise out of me?

I suppose there's no harm in mentioning it now. An ex of mine felt I was "harassing" her over Twitter. The swines seized my computer for evidence but were flummoxed by the password (thank you Truecrypt). I have been in a legal wrangle with them ever since as I have nearly 400 Bitcoins left in a wallet on there - will buy you a fruit basket when I get it back though... :)

So did you manage to delete all the information you've left on the internet about yourself do you think? A man of you're intelligence too.

What were you thinking Nathan?

Try going to any big store like walmart or walgreens, and ask for a greendot moneypak, pay with cash then go to a vendor named Sugar Mama, he takes a percentage of you money and transfers bitcoins to your account, very reliable, I've used him many times now

Bitcoins are pefectly legal. Go ahead and buy them via your bank account.

IF you're paranoid you might not want to load them directly into your SR account. If you wash them through easywallet.org they are close to untracable.

Oh I see, I was supposed to be terribly impressed and intimidated that you saw someone had gone to all the trouble of googling me? I did read that back in January, a very entertaining thread, particularly enjoyed being described as having a "face for radio" - I think that sums it up nicely. You'll understand though why as a result no one is going to be very impressed if you know my real name, it's only been posted around half a dozen times after all. :-D

Buying and selling Bitcoins isn't illegal in itself however if you're caught receiving a package in the mail containing something illegal and your bank records show you bought some Bitcoins beforehand, you're going to have a hell of a job persuading a jury of your peers that you're the victim of a malicious prank.

There is some argument to say that under English law at least being ignorant of the contents of a package isn't always a defence, which is a subject into which we've delved quite a bit in the past but I still maintain that if you want to obtain your Bitcoins anonymously then the best ways to do so are either to pay cash or to sell goods in exchange for them. In all honesty, your only defence if caught could be to please ignorance and say that anyone can send anybody else unsolicited drugs in the mail - if the pigs can prove you bought Bitcoins shortly before the package arrived though...

Easywallet can store coins but it doesn't operate a mixing service as far as I'm aware. (Would any savvier users correct me on this if I'm wrong?) The darling when I was trading was Bitcoinfog (http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion/) - has this fallen out of favour?

Don't think it was much trouble Nathan.

Man that's embarrassing though, making an error like that. What an idiot.

That Uni education has really paid off :)

Whereas you applied your fine brain towards finding a name that had already been posted on a forum, I am in awe of your powers of observation. :-)

I'm glad you've showed up again Nathan. For comedy value alone.

Tell me, how far does one have to fall to resort to stealing money from folk? I mean that's real bottom feeder stuff right there. And how does one justify it?

...And I for one Darth can confirm that my second greatest pleasure today has been laughing in your virtual face. :-) (The first being finally laying my hands on the aforementioned Bitcoins I earned last year off my own back).

Nevertheless I am more than happy to hold up my hands and freely admit that your cybersleuthing skills are second to none when it comes to using the search feature on our forum.

Sad to say your logic skills are more than a little wanting as I chose to identify myself when returning to the forum, so your supposedly cunning psychological ploy of dropping not so subtle hints that you know more than you actually do about me* turned out to be a bit of a damp squib didn't it?

I am curious however about your inability to grow a pair and reply using your real forum account - or have you been hanging out in the background all this time waiting for me to return so you could try to make a plea to my conscience?

Are you a little butthurt because you think I stole your drug money, or do you just like a good troll? How's that working out for you? :-D

V.

*If you recall I was successfully able to swindle another £350 of BTC out of a butthurt user by posing very publicly as someone with information concerning my own whereabouts (most Freudian I know!) This had the added benefit of making sure anyone else offering information on my whereabouts being automatically disbelieved... and you all thought you were so clever when you worked out we were the same person! It was adorable, really. :-)
