Title: Buying BTC in UK - is this method anonymous and secure?
Post by: psykhe on August 24, 2012, 05:12 pm
1. Buy coins with bank transfer from Intersango or Mt. Gox, (legitimately and non-anonymously).
2. Send coins to instawallet(s).
3. Use Bitcoinfog, withdrawing random amounts over random periods of time.
4. Coins go from Bitcoinfog to instawallets again.
5. Coins go from instawallets to SR.

As a total newbie to BTC, I'd just like to know if I have I missed anything that may compromise security/anonymity? Mostly just want a little reassurance :)

Thanks,

psykhe.

or post cash to Vlad1mir, he takes a small cut and puts it straight into your SR wallet. Cash is anonymous. search his username out in the forum

I've already placed an order with vlad1m1r but unfortunately he seems to have disappeared and hasn't been online for a few days to fulfill orders, so just looking for other options in the mean time since we have no idea if/when he will return.

I'm in the same boat as you regarding Vlad.

Some one else suggested 'btc4ukash'. He looks to be a relatively new vendor and accepts Ukash voucher codes which can be purchased from local shops. It's not 100% anon (possible shop cameras etc) but should be quicker as you don't need to post any thing.

I haven't tried his service yet so I can't give you a 100% 'thumbs up'

Let's hope Vlad gets back to SR soon.
