Title: How to check BTC confirmations?

I've been poking around blockchain.info but a lot of it is confusing to me, especially when viewing a transaction ID.
Is there a general way of seeing how far along a confirmation is/will take?

And am I correct that as soon as it's confirmed is when it's supposed to show up in your SR wallet?

I think it has to be confirmed 7 times - no doubt one of our gurus will confirm?
