Title: What do you mean about the Blockchain wallet?
Post by: Ophidian on July 16, 2012, 06:51 pm
Is this a good wallet to send BTC to SR? https://blockchain.info/wallet/
And what do you think about this service? https://blockchain.info/wallet/send-anonymously
Is it good enough to send my BTC to SR ??

Anyone uses on of these services?

Vlad1m1r ought to take a look at this since he has experience in mixing services. I did not know this existed until now. It looks like it's a service similar to that of bitcoin fog, but at a set price of 1.5% plus miner's fees. I wonder if it's reliable and can be used with confidence.

The other one, https://blockchain.info/wallet/ is just an online wallet similar to many others.

Hi folks,

Naturally the blockchain.info website is well known as it's an easy way to analysis the Bitcoin block chain - indeed I use it as a way to illustrate how easy it would be to trace Bitcoins transactions across the block chain (http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=25163.0) thus underlining the importance of using cash / Moneypaks to obtain your BTC.

Blockchain.info claims there is currently a surplus of coins running through their mixer and anyone who uses it will receive a 0.5% bonus. I suggest you let me send a few Bitcoins their way and let you know, before you take a chance on it. Obviously all I'll be able to tell you is whether my BTC came through, I can't endorse their services!

As you're no doubt aware Silk Road has its own coin mixer (I have tested this myself and it's true) and all coins withdrawn from an SR account are mixed. It's not as secure as Bitcoinfog as there's no way to withdraw your coins in random amounts over a longer period of time which is safer but it is free.
