Title: Bitcoins -- Help

Hey there, I want to purchase some hash from Silkroad and I've got the money in pounds at the moment in my bank account and would like to get a hold of some bitcoins.
I know everyone here will probably be facepalming at this right now but if someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it immensely
I'm looking for information regarding how to set up a bitcoin wallet, how to "buy" or obtain bitcoins from GPB in Bank Transfer or through credit card payment

Use MtGox.com and add funds to your account using international bank transfer.

EDIT: Or you can use the money services on Silk Road (in either the money, or services section of SR. It's likely going to be much faster doing it this way.

How so? Not only does the bitcoins go through a mixer, but you can mix it yourself first....

It's not even SLIGHTLY unsafe...

Using mtgox to silk road is safe, selling a shit load of bitcoins on mtgox is not. Thats where they will try to track you down as a silk road vendor...... A they haven't found anyone using silk road because of their bitcoin activity, all of the vendors that got busted were from their real life activities.

can you use a visa pre paid card to get bitcoins on MtGox?

No but I believe get-bitcoin.com accepts those, but only if you physically mail the card to them.

I would suggest that you use vlad1m1r's service for GBP in the post to BTC.

Haven't used this service as it doesn't apply to me, but judging from my interactions with him on other matters, and going off his feedback, he is the man to deal with.
