Admins will do it for you. Sometimes you need to wait a few days as they are usually busy.

I put my vendor group request in several days ago and am still waiting. So Ill second the "Please update my forum account to vendor"

the vendor tag is for people who would be considered vendors on a DRUG forum and that doesn't include people who sell Microsoft Windows...unless the copies you sell are laced with PCP or something.

Windows is a drug if you think about it.
It is the best explanation as to why people keep using it.

It is illegal to ship them to some states, which I ship to, so they are semi-illegal; the mushroom pills I sell are illegal. I just don't have any publicly listed right now.
I dont remember reading the rules you listed anywhere, seems to me the vendor group would be for vendors. If there were other requirements then I would expect other groups, such as a drug-vendor tag, illegal-vendor tag, or LEO-vendor tag :o

Where did you get that rule from? Is it written somewhere in the wiki / forum post?
To me a vendor is a vendor. Anyone doing business here is doing something illegal. Selling pirated software is illegal and carries same risks and maybe even more prosecution than selling, say, crack or weed.

I know they posted the requirements in one of the threads, but I don't know which one. It does make sense to only have vendors selling illegal substances in that group though, because LE could set up an account selling scales or baggies or anything that can be bought at your local drugstore over the counter, and gain access to threads that discuss counter intel. I'm sure there isn't a whole lot of super secret counter intel HERE, but it is just a precaution. There is some information that will really help vendors remain safe against LE, it is orders of magnitude more valuable for LE to know what intel we have, and if that knowledge isn't guarded with strict membership guidelines...you get the idea.
@jameslink, I didn't mean to offend you, I know selling spores is illegal in some states, and I do appreciate you providing that service, but I was just stating that there is a difference between spores and, say, LSD, because (in the US) LSD isn't legal to sell anywhere, so it is less likely to have an LE vendor established by selling acid.
@msft1, while selling pirated software might carry the same risks, etc, it is a different set of initials investigating that than the initials investigating the drugs. You might be completely safe selling the non-pcp laced windows to a DEA agent, because he isn't hunting pirated windows copies, he is hunting the PCP that the laced versions contain.

Yeah, we stand apart too. Didn't want to, but that's the way this community defines things.

I have heard people say that even having an account on here could...possibly...in the US...be considered to be involved in conspiracy. Now do I think that will actually happen, NO, but I do think that anyone using this site for any actual transactions could face charges for those transactions. selling bitcoins for moneypaks could be stretched into money laundering. So could any of the financial services done on this site.

Having said that, I don't make a song and dance out of being excluded from the inner circle of vendors, nor do you I imagine BlueSkyTraders. As I understand it the vendors private forum is a place to alert one another to possible scammers and discuss illegal activities - obviously this isn't any of our business!
I'm actually quite proud to deal only in legal products/services, as I'm sure are you! :-)

I agree it's not a point I'd like to see tested in court which is why I keep my identity private but you should bear in mind the cash/Moneypak only becomes the proceeds of crime at the point it is proven to be part of a specific criminal transaction. Since the Bitcoins themselves are untraceable if obtained correctly, I think it is academic for now but I take your point!

You did not offend me, It was the idea that I only sold spores that kind of tweaked my eyebrow a bit. My first group of sales were of mushrooms, Spores are just another facet of the business that I enjoy. I am moving slowly with the sales of mushrooms because I want to get my feet under me and a good handle on the way SR works before I go all in and hang my ass out the window so to speak.

+1 for not jumping in over your head. slow and steady wins the race man. making sure you and your customers are safe is top priority.
