I would guess it is because he did an outside of the SR deal, but that is just a random guess and the only reason I can think of besides scamming, but SR doesn't suspend accounts for scamming until the vendor damn near scammed everyone twice. lol

I wasn't trying to say he was, in fact my statement about scamming was stating that everyone would already know he was a scammer before SR banned him lol So, therefore he obviously isn't.

I've only heard good things about him, despite his prices (especially his moneypak for btc service). I've seen nothing but praise (and I've looked). Never been a customer however. I admit the CAPS have always been a red flag imo.
I'd reckon his ban had more to do with doing business via email rather than outright scamming. For the past couple weeks he's mentioned a what looked like a preference for email correspondence in multiple places. Also, about a week ago, his vendor page mentioned something to the effect of "contact me for my email addy, sr is filled with snitches & bitches" (in all caps of course).
Pretty sure he was conducting business via email.

I've been buying from boss hogg since way before I even knew about SR. He's a good dude, and he's not a scammer. I may just be special, but he even fronts me my stuff and let's me pay him after I've received it. Whoever's calling him a scammer is full of shit.

I think that's being over the top prejudicial. A vendor's reputation should be based on the success or failures of their transaction histories and by the buyers who risk doing business with them. Not prejudged "from day 1" because you don't like the way he types or don't care for his prices or terms of service. If it looks sketchy to you, then don't do business with him. But to make claims on his seller's rep without facts and based on personal biases ... well there are words for that IRL, none of them flattering.

It would be naive to think there aren't online vendors who've maintained successful online business ventures prior to coming to Silk Road... Do vendors contractually agree to terminate all offsite ventures in order to sell on Silk Road?

I am not talking about intentionally driving large numbers of Silk Road members offsite, or using SR to solely advertise one's own offsite endeavors.
Not only that but he's always been forthcoming about his offsite business. I remember reading about it on his vendor page when he first started up that he's long had an offsite business and to email him for better pricing if willing to do offsite transactions.
So why would he be suspended now for what he's been advertising doing for the last few months? Still doesn't seem to make much sense. Plus, my guess is that despite advertising he does offsite biz the VAST MAJORITY of buyers would opt to conduct business on site where there's some recourse if scammed, especially with a new vendor. Even if a buyer accused him of scamming when conducting on off site transaction there's no reason he should get suspended for that since there's no way to prove the buyer's accusation.

I could probably list 2 dozen SR vendors who sell direct via email or on private boards, but the simple fact is that they do not advertise that on SR. And while some of these guys are on private boards because of their rep built on SR, most of them were on the other boards first, then came to SR for a wider customer base (and higher fees), but they also continue sales on their other boards.

All jokes aside BossHog here were my concerns with ordering with you. You always expected Early Finalize. Escrow is here to protect us all. Needing it and wanting to go out of it should never be needed. Even large scale order I feel the risk should be tken equally among vender and buyer as both have a lot to gain from large buys and both have a lot to lose from large buy.
You can afford two thousand dollar shoes yet can not afford to open you a new account and require a buyer with excellent stats to finalize early?
And many people (not me cause I practice sound business habits) might have been willing to trust you with their money if you did not present yourself to be a thug or someone with little to no business sense. i am not saying that is how you are in real life or even how you engage with people on here but remember this always J.D "The way you present yourself to people is the way they will perceive you"
You have made rude comments to people, you have trashed other venders products. That type of thing is not needed. if your product is that good then eventually it will speak for it's self and your sales will sky rocket. I truly felt like I would have been doing business with Roscoe P Coletrain more so than Bosshog...
I am not going to say you were a scammer and or say your products were junk. I have no idea of knowing and I am not going to believe someone who says they were cause that person may just not like you or have a hidden agenda but perhaps you should try taking a more sound and traditional approach in the way you run and present your operation.
Yes, your prices were high but if they were truly top quality like some have claimed I would have made some orders from you. it is just not good business for me or anyone else to do Early finalizing unless you are rich and even then it is poor judgement only difference is if you are rich gambling a couple hundred bucks in the hopes of getting some fire dope is worth the risk but when you barly make ends meet like most of us then i is just too much to gamble.
I have no ill feelings for ya J.D Hogg i wish you the best so long as you do what you do honestly and fairly. You might be able to afford a 2000.00 dollar pair of boots and if you can then maybe you should try and cut prices and let those of us who can not enjoy your product cause I promise you our loyalty to you in the long run will bring you more profits than jacked up prices.

stop whining dude. just look at my stats. my product has spoken for itsself and i wasnt taking any new customers but do to the garbage thats being sold here i decided to open it up but all new customers would have to finalize early. If i didnt allow you or the other hater who couldnt read instructions to order i would have never been suspended. the quality of my dope deserved the price it commanded you would never be able to buy my quality on the streets! and thats the difference! I agree with you klaw and I have delt with quite a few thugs and street dealers in my time. I like bosshogg. I don't think he really cares what any of us say here if he's is truly a street dealing thug. He can be that way and walk the line here at SR also. I think of SR as a place where we don't have to deal with people that will kill you or rip your money off thanks to the escrow system. I'm afraid that he may see that escrow system as a way for buyers to get out of paying but that's not true. The buyers stats protects vendors from that. I want my stats to stay 100% positive. The feedback system works both ways. You can check buyer stats and determine if you want to sell to that person. The system is working great if you ask me. These forums are part of it and goes a long way torward a person's reputation. Reputation here is everything and you are right when you say that if the product is what you say it is then it will speak much louder than words. I finalise when I recieve the product, not after I test it. After I test it I go to the forums and do a review if the vendor request it. I edit the feedback if the product is below quality according to what the vendor says but they still get a 5/5 from me as long as it arrives to me.
5/5 may keep them at 100% positive feedback but if buyers are like me then they do a lot of review reading before they decide to pull the trigger and buy. Maybe all this is a lot more than bosshogg is willing to go through although if he would take the time to use SR in the right way then it would allow him to get away from all the crime of his streets if that's what he wanted. Since I started using SR I have stopped fooling with all the street dealers and nobody knows what I'm into. I stay home and keep to myself and I don't get caught hanging out with the wrong crowd. Those bums have quit coming over and calling trying to get high from my supply and it's great.
I just want to stay in escrow. It makes me feel more confident about my deal. I can't handle giving my money up and then waiting for somebody to come back with the product or my money. It's nothing personal against bosshogg or any other vendor. It's just me. While I'm setting here waiting I get so frustrated and mad that I can't even enjoy the product if it comes when or if it comes back. Too many bad thoughts come into my head like "he's took my money and he aint coming back".
So yea I really like the escrow system and being able to stay home and not run the roads all night looking for shit getting pulled over or having to fight for my life.

Second i am not hating on you. I am simply telling why I did not order with you. If you need EF for small orders then you do not have the bank roll and capital you claim you do cause if you had the capital and the solid product you claim then you would have made money hand over fist here if you used your head and operated correctly.
You are either a wanna be drug kingpin 18 19 20 yrs old there abouts or you are something else cause your actions make no sense and they do not add up and even on the far side of the universe 2+2 =4 and I highly doubt that you got your account suspended for being a smart mouth and or a young punk thug.

i cancelled your order thats why you didnt get to order and only people who have never ordered from me would would have to finalize early. sales aint stopped they just dont get their cut anymore mrpig but anyway if i didnt have the bank why would i give people who traded mp for bitcoins more money then their moneypak was worth sometimes by as much as 20 bucks over but anyway imma make about 5 new seller accounts and keep helping my customers win. did i mention check the feedback sissy! im the greatest by far

How insulted do you think other vendors are, if they're even aware of it at all? I find it great comedy and part of his charm. It's bosshogg being bosshogg. But given his karma, it's obvious many don't agree or just don't understand him. But IMO, it doesn't happen often enough to be annoying and sometimes he'll do it in conjunction with announcing deals he's offering which, given his prices, should always be welcome. Yet I think his overall service record speaks volumes. If he hadn't been such a consummate pro in my dealings with him, I'd probably find his posts far less entertaining. But I see some people here being hostile for no good reason, having never done business with him, which I think is kind of weak.
