Hello there guys/girls.
I currently have bitcoins in my Mtgox account and would like to transfer them to silkroad anonymously. I've heard some negative feedback about Mtgox and was wondering how I could get the bitcoins into my silkroad account anonymously.
Thanks in advance.

"Anonymously"...right. The best method is using an intermediary like InstaWallet to first transfer the coins to, then move them to SR. All the tumbling that occurs during that process is good enough. MtGox won't care if you transfer your coins to IW, but IF they could figure out you transferred directly to SR then I think that violates their terms.

Just wanted to say thanks for this answer (since the poster did not) I am in this position now and it is just what I am looking for.
CAn I also ask though - when I open my bitcoin wallet up, there are 'blocks' that need to be completed (looks like a download bar), do I have top wait for this to finish (it takes a fukin age) and do all wallets work like this?

Yes and yes.
Actually not all wallet software works in this way. The Electrum Bitcoin client doesn't need to download the whole block chain as it connects to servers which contain it, while your private keys are stored safely on your computer:
http://ecdsa.org/electrum/
Hope this helps,
V.

Okay fine, there's an exception. But for the standard wallets, it's still yes. Thanks for the link though, Vlad.

I sent from mtgox to instawallet and it let me transfer before the blocks finished but now that I am sending them from instawallet to SR they are not showing up on SR - I have only sent 3 just in case and will wait til it finishes before I do the rest. Shoudl it show up on my account provisionlly or will the amount not show up until the bar is finished. I know this Q was answered but only partially since I want to find out if I might have lost the three I sent - yes I am impatient...

Sending coins to SR requires a minimum of 6 blocks to be mined/6 confirmations to occur for the transaction before you get them in your account. As a general assumption(though not always), that takes about an hour.

I have been waiting at least four hours - I put three btc over and none are showing up in my account. should they show up provisionally even though I cannot spend them or will it show zero and then appear when they can be spent?

I sent you a pm. Not sure why I made it a pm actually... but whatever. The info is still valid.

Well im worried about this to as i sent some bitcoins from instawallet to sr and she said shes waiting 4 hours hope there in my SR soon...
its my first deposit.

You should have your coins by now amazing777.
Check the transaction with blockchain.info
Just search for the SR-address you sent the coins too. If there is a deposit with 6 confirmations of the amount you sent, then it should be in SR already. If there isn't, then you're fine.
And if there is no deposit at all, the coins haven't moved yet.
