Title: EU legislation to monitor entire internet
Post by: dungoof on June 19, 2012, 06:32 pm
EU is planning legislation to monitor and log wich sites you access, all forms of chatservices/VoIP, all forms of webmail (To-from, when/where), IP-adresses, videogame chat logs, facebook messages and all other kinds of social networking. Real-life mail is to be logged the same way with info "anything written on the outside". Continous monitoring of cell-phone location, sms and call logs. They plan on keeping all this information stored for a year.  The police say this is 100% nececary to prevent all kinds of criminal activity.

Source: An article written in a non-english language newspaper wich i will not reveal as it will reveal my country of origin. I havent found an english article about the same subject, but im sure its out there.

Reading about such things scares me to death, even though im not engaged in anything illegal. I cannot help think about where this is all going, what comes next after they implemented this. Are we just seeing the start of the police state? Any thoughts on this matter?
