Hey there guys I just set up a bitcoin account but how exactly do you get the currency/whatever it is in my wallet so I can purchas stuff. Help greatly appreciated thanks!

depending on where you live, you need to find a reputable bitcoin merchant which suits your needs or preferences as each merchant tends to havre different policies for buying/selling btc, google is your friend but i dont recommend you browse clearnet sites using a tor enabled browser.
