hi,
i had a vendor cancel an order because i live a block from the police department. i'm in a city where there's a cop on every corner. hell, my letter carrier probably walks by dozens of cops every day carrying my mail. i guess if you're paranoid, that might present a problem. but in reality, local cops don't really give a shit about pharms unless you're selling on the streets.
is the vendor being unreasonable? to put this into perspective, i have received more than 50 orders successfully on SR. i have only had one package not arrive, and it was from overseas. i'm in the u.s.
i gave the vendor a 5/5 as a courtesy. i know, if you're a vendor you can rightfully choose with whom you do business. but this seems like such a non-issue to me, i find it alarming that a vendor would be spooked by the fact that i live in a city.
any thoughts?

As you stated, it's the vendor's choice who he/she does business with. I would leave it at that.
-
It's a sellers market on here buddy. And to be honest, I'd be applauding that vendor and knowing he does his background research. It's details like that which quickly help you filter out the good vendors on SR.
Regardless of what you are buying. If it is illegal, there is a consequence for the person selling it to you. It is their freedom on the line, their family who will be left to deal with not having that person around. I'd encourage all vendors to run these kind of checks to avoid any problems.
You stated in your post you've received 50 orders, so you must have other vendors that ship to you. Stick to those guys, and if there's something they're not offering or their prices aren't what you want. Message them. Talk about bulk deals or getting hold of things that other people won't ship to you.
Don't be disheartened. Just move on.

thanks for the feedback. as a buyer, i always think "what's going to happen to me" if this gets intercepted. sometimes i forget to think about what could happen to the vendor. i still don't think there's any increased risk, for me as a buyer, or for him as a seller, just because i live near a police department. but hey, i could eat those words tomorrow. :)

Exactly, hit the nail on the head. For every year you'd spend in prison for possession, a dealer would serve 2-5 (on the spot figures so don't take that as gospel). If avoiding jail means not dealing to certain areas, then I say do what you gotta do.
Best of luck with The Road.

It's the vendor choice dude.. just go with another vendor, they are plenty on SR ;)
-
I applaud any seller who has their guard up and are willing to scrub a sale when things don't feel 100% right. Don't take it personally and unless it was PCP I'm sure another vendor will be glad to ship to you.
**Can we have the name of this careful as fuck vendor? sounds like my kinda person**
-
It would be a very stupid Police Officer who tried to arrange delivery to a building next door to the station surely? Then again, there are some very stupid Police officers!

If you left him 5/5 that means you finalized, which means the order made it to transit... which means he didn't cancel on you...
And that makes sense because I do not see a vendor having the time to put every single address into google maps, then click the surrounding area and analyze it for "police stations..."
Yea... this whole post reeks of wtf?

which means the OP is a worthless fucking liar.
good catch +1 karma to you sir

You still have the feedback box when an order is cancelled by the vendor. So, you're both paranoid :D

Sorry if this is kinda unrelated to the topic but, honestly, the last thing I want a vendor doing is researching me at all or looking up any of the information I give them. The only thing I want them to do with that information is print a label and delete it. If a vendor gets busted or whatever I would rather not have my name and address in their search history.

boss hogg gets the job done shit i dont give a fuck where you live aint like its ever gonna be traced back to me so if i got what you need go to bosshogg on silk road and ill sort you out!!!

lOL yeah,no the buyer can still leave feedback, but i think you have to first mark the order as confirmed, and then cancel befor the 4 day window? At least thats what I hope. ...Im about to post a new topic thats similar but not really, using my tinfoil hat account....haha....please help if you get a chance, and to OP, shit man, I'd move if I were you....thats bound to be mentioned in the vendors roundtable so to speak. Its nothing against you, and all for SR's safety and well-being, not just that vendors, but yours, and for everyone else on the site. Thats my TEN CENTS.

My tor client came preconfigured to not record any history at all. I'd go for a careful vendor over a careless one any day of the week.
Wait till you receive your first idiotically composed parcel. You'll hit the roof, and become way more selective over who you deal with.

he changed the order status to "in transit" and then cancelled, so i had the option of leaving feedback. IMO he shouldn't have changed the status before actually shipping.
if you want to know the name of the vendor, send me a PM. i'm not going to post it publicly.
i still don't get how living a block from a police department in a city puts me, or a vendor, at any greater risk than someone who lives a mile away. there are at least 5,000 people who live within a block of this police department... but to each his own. :)

ok I retract my post.

I apologize I did not realize that you could leave feedback on canceled orders that made it to transit. Never had that happen.
nodialtone, please pm me the vendor's name... I don't need people researching my shit...
