Title: Looking to start buying but..
Post by: Adasel on May 12, 2012, 06:06 pm
I need a reputable uk situated bit coin trader.  Or an international one that can trade in pounds sterling.
Any help would be great, thank you.

It is imperfect but in the U.S. I use Dwolla to transfer USD to the trading platform mtgox.com.  With the later I trade USD into BTC and then easily send it to SR.  Dwolla is US only, though, but if you look around mtgox I'm sure there is a way to get pounds to them.  I DO KNOW they won't simply take a debit or credit card.  It has to be some sort of ACH transfer or the like.

No problem mate, just make sure you pop back to tell us how it went or make a new thread about vlad in the rumor mill section of the forums.

I have used getbitcoin.com I don't know if they do international but it's not too slow. You just deposit the funds into their account and you have it in 24 hours or less

I use Intersango.

Bank transfer with reference number to their account and get bitcoins about 20 mins later.

careful using any exchanger on SR. there is no protection and users often are scammed, losing all their money because they just take it and run.

you should not trust anyone... that was bad advice imo. dont even trust feedback on SR cause it can be faked with buyer accts that are actually the vendor. check the forums for positive reviews from established members who have conducted business obviously with the vendor.

look into intersango.com or ways to fund mt. gox which are actual btc exchangers and you can buy them yourself for cheaper

Intersango, Mtgox, virwox or trusted exchanger on SR are the way :D
Unless for some fees...  :P

Go to this site and register https://bitcointalk.org/
After you make the minimum number of posts and time on the forum you can go to the MarketPlace and buy direct from many trusted sellers around the world with little or no extra fees added.
NEVER mention SR just say you want to buy a few bits, by far the most economical (and many times the fastest) way to buy them.
