What situation are you producing this ID to police. 3. Just in the case of occasional ID checking on streets.. it is very uncommon here, but such a possibility still exists As I said before, as a foreigner I have been able to convince Police that I simply didn't know it was a requirement and was let off with a warning after they took my details. I would suggest not volunteering it if asked and taking some time to establish if you *must* supply ID documents to a Police Officer or whether the only have the right to ask you - certainly in Britain or Ireland a Police Officer or "Garda" on the street cannot demand you identify yourself on a whim! Moreover if you're using identity documents Police are likely not to have seen before it's unlikely they'll spot a fake in the middle of the street. As mentioned above my advice to anyone changing their identity would be to use their primary i.e fake ID to obtain a real secondary one - as well as a few business cards / membership cards to various organisations and carry these with you instead of the primary ID.Changing your identity is a lengthy process so if anyone thinks they may need to become someone else at some point, now is the time to start building your new identity!V.
