Quote from: mdmamail on April 15, 2012, 05:39 amUK you can cash deposit through Aurumxchange and a few others now. I bet if you made threads on bitcointalk.org there would be somebody in your town/city who can exchange for cash.I looked into the GBP cash deposit option for AurumXChange but they seem to make it clear they expect to receive the funds via wire transfer. Intersango did have a Lloyds TSB account but now they use Metro bank - unfortunately there isn't one near where I live but I use my own bank account to buy BTC as I only use them for trading purposes and not to buy illegal goods - others amongst you might want to be more cautious. As I mentioned, you can switch your currency of choice to GBP in MtGox and receive the details for a Barclays account. It is possible to pay in cash over the counter but I should stress I did this a couple of times with Barclays in the past for paying my rent and they failed to put in the reference code on my deposit slip unless I asked them specifically. There are deposit points in every branch whereby you can put cash into an envelope and pay in which would be fairly anonymous but personally I'd be worried they wouldn't record your unique reference no. If it would help, next week I will try to deposit a small sum (say 10) in this way using a deposit point rather than over the counter - shall I let you all know if goes through? Perhaps I just had a couple of bovine cashiers...At the end of the month I intend to set up a seller account - one of the services I am going to offer to UK/European SR user is BTC in exchange for cash in the mail which I'm sure you'll agree would offer you the best level of protection as you wouldn't have to walk into a bank full of security cameras to get your coins. I'm not allowed to advertise this as a specific service until I own a seller account but if anyone wants further details of how this is going to work, please send me a message. V.
