Why would you even consider violence? Stop and think for a moment about what you want. Perhaps you want the same as me, perhaps you have a different agenda. But once you've mentally articulated your goals, compare those with the most likely consequences of using violence. Let's look at an example: I want the freedom to put whatever I want into my own body. I do not think this should be dictated by any government - perhaps the irresponsible use of such substances should be prohibited (such as DUI), but as far as what I do in the privacy of my own home, an abandoned park at midnight, a desert island a few miles off the coast, a private event with other like-minded individuals... what I do in those situations shouldn't be dictated by somebody without the right to control my actions. Now, I want this freedom. And I want it to be a peaceful freedom. If I were to take up arms against those who would see to take it from me, that freedom would not be peaceful. I react with violence, they react with more. I rally supporters, they bring in the army. Either way, somebody ends up dead. And that's NOT cool. I'm not down with death, pain, violence, anger... I'm fighting here for the peaceful right to control my own body. What are you fighting for? I hope it isn't war. If it is, choose violence. If it isn't, choose a pro-active yet peaceful revolution. V
