Title: How does someone -Karma someone else and why me?
Post by: neworleansisdead on June 30, 2012, 04:16 pm
Ok, so I'm new to the boards, new to SR for that matter. Have made only a few posts, none bad, and someone already gives me bad karma. FOR WHAT?

silent trolls?

almost everyone of my negative karma is the same paranoid hater troll... nothing you can do about it... just keep posting good advice and positive things and the good will far outweigh the bad.

Good luck!!
TJ

PS: I re-read your previous posts and you have posted some useful and helpful info so +1 from me... grats

Gratzi. Much obliged..

Furthermore, how does anyone +/- karma to another? I know I probably lack the amount of posts required to do so, but can anyone do so?

yes it unlocks that feature after a certain number of posts... not sure what that number is... I am sure someone will pipe up if they know.

and the info I thought useful was the over the counter meds to help with H withdrawl... I am always impressed when someone teaches me something I didn't know.. ;-)

This is the only topic I've "made". My apologies to you dear sir for inquiring on the functionality of something I don't quite understand, as being Infinitely Wise wasn't included in my childbirth package. Perhaps you should share the source of your infinite wisdom and advise me how many BitCoins I need to obtain it.

P.S. You can learn a lot from a dummy

You need more LSD. I was gonna neg you for the lulz but I read that thing you said about H withdrawals as well, so I won't be a dick. Karma probably isn't going to decide whether you live or die, stop caring and it's just amusing. If you think your online persona accurately reflects your personality then you're doing it wrong, you should really not let the opinion of anonymous strangers on the internet effect you like that.

Getting offended by opinions shows you don't know how to control your emotions, in my humble opinion ;)

Touche.

Ur avatar makes me happy btw

We're on a system where we have access to basically any drug. Anyone here could access armed weapons, CP (sick), hit men (if legit) if they wanted.

So why the fuck do we care about 'karma'. We're all 'bad people' in the eyes of society anyway. I say thanks for the bad karma, now for my bumper line

Agreed that something such as Karma has very little impact, however most users, myself included like to present themselves as knowledgeable, helpful, and to an extent, trustworthy.  It sounds petty, but the fact that other users can vote on the quality of my posts gives me the satisfaction of knowing that what I am saying is being received by other users well and isn't just trash, vague, or worse, erroneous information.

In the eyes of society we may be bad people, but you alone judge the goodness of your self...  Is society good?   I think the karma deal on the forum is  dumb and cheapens the useful aspect of the forum.  If I sit on here all day and post dumb stuff enough I get to dole out karma points on top of my dumb posts?  This forum is full of useful information I'm sure, but people looking to reap some sort of reward for the number of posts are kinda filling it up with useless bs and retarded jokes (even some moderator(s)), that we now have to sort through to find posts worth reading.
