Title: Vendor only forum.
Post by: 34tuforlunch on June 08, 2012, 05:32 pm
A forum for vendors only would be very useful. It would be a place for us to discuss how to spot scams, create a list of shitty buyers and what the problems with certain buyers have been and anything related to vending.

Hopefully I am not the only vendor that thinks this would be very useful.

If I'm not mistaken (and I could very well be), There is a private vendor forum here and i guess that you haven't been invited to it yet

Is there? First I've heard of it. Oh well I prefer being among the masses anyway. :-)

Again, I could be dead wrong. But I believe I have heard it mentioned before in passing.

yeah there is a hidden vendors section, you can apply to join the SR vendor group, then admin will look at your vendors account, products you sell, and feedback about you and  if all is legit  you will be added to the group.

to apply all you need to do is,

1. Click on profile
2. hover over modify profile
3. click group membership
4. request vendor status

once it has been approved you will be able to see the vendors section when you go to the main topics board index page.

see you there  :)

yeah there is such a thing.  its the roundtable so to speak.. Its been covered in a few other threads but I'll roughly quote limetless and trustusjones on what they said

-you have to be a vendor that sells illegal stuff (drugs) not just digital goods etc
-you have to have some transactions under you're belt, (they said not sure exactly how many ) but its something "like 5 wont cut it"
-there's a few ways to seek membership/admittance but just read the post ABOVE BY RR for the best way.
-It's just a place where the vendors discuss scammers and share their names to prevent loss/scamming and where they share info on susupected LEO buyers.

Agreed.  It is indeed a great idea.   I personally tried to get in but without going into too much detail went about it the wrong way due to a misunderstanding....I only have about 20 transactions so Its hard to know what it would take, maybe 50-80 or something and to be a top 30%'er.  That would be my best guess...I hope _____ inbox doesn't get flooded.  I think he negged my second attempt.lol.  fair enough....Ill work as hard as I have to to get in eventually .  I hate scammers and the idea of losing money and despise the idea of LEO posing as buyers, I would love to know who the suspected Leo buyers are so I can steer clear if they ever try to purchase from me, I hope none already have :/  Good luck to everyone I hope I summed this up accurately .

Just a guess.  But you probably have to be one of those "over 300 transactions" sellers before they consider you.

Awesome, will modify my post now to ref. your method....All I need is to cause another issue (FML and a huge facepalm)....Thanks for showing us how to go about it the other way, any idea as to a ballpark estimate for requirements?  For example  between how many-how many transactions?  Thanks again.

yeah it might make sense but thats still awful high.  A lot of vendors dont have that ind of supply at hand oer the course of a few months....anyways I looked at RR's link and they have roughly 200 transactions and made it in, who knows?

i dont know if they have set any requirements, thats something only Digi or DPR can answer, but i think what you said earlier is nearly there, id say the most important thing is that you are selling illegal drugs and not e-books etc and you have 80-100 transactions under your belt, its not worth wasting Digi's time if you haven't cos the dude is mega busy as it is, he is constantly working to improve the site, there is also a lot of behind the scenes work involved in running a site of this nature, we only see the simple interface.

good deal,  Thanks for that number....Now I have a goal :) I honestly would appreciate a quick "come back when you hae 100 transactions" with that said, I understand they are busy with far more important issues (scripting/security/big ticket scams/staying safe) let alone their real life commitments ....and it must take a lot of time to keep this site running.  I called out a few people in another thread the other day who were complaining that SR didn't post to the forums about the maintenance.  I mean really....how safe would that be.....you have got to give them some serious cred for all their hard work here, we should all respect that.

yeah im with you 100% on that, it pisses me off when i see people saying our admin and mods are not active enough in the forum, SERIOUSLY, if it was me i wouldnt want to be in the spot light either, they post when required and do a fantastic job keeping the site running as smoothly as they do, they got my respect man, i think silkroad is the best thing since sliced bread, its what the web has been waiting for.

How many vendors actually go on this? Seems like little vendors have the right stats to get on, i except most vendors would go for a public forum, and contact other vendors through pm?

Yeah its probably a combination of both....however the main thing IMO, is that once admitted, a vendor will have that "globe icon" underneath their forum icon that links you to their vendors page.  That is a huge plus.  As far as which mode of communication Vendors use it must be some combination of PM and general forums.  However THE Vendors Forum  allows for vendors to discuss buyers who they were scammed by, or buyers they suspect are LEO.  That information would be hugely helpful to any vendor, but obviously SR Admin and dPR himself now that its crucial to keep LEO vendors OUT of this forum....That's why they wont let you in unless you sell real shit and have some cred.
Peace

Sucks if you're just starting out and get scammed because you don't have access to "the list"

yeah thats true but if i was a new vendor id only except orders of people with a good record, we have all been there at the beginning but unfortunately these privileges have to be earned, if not we just end up with another topic board where we cant be sure if there are L.E present.
