First let me say that I along with all of the vendors that I have had contact with (at least 30) are very sorry Tony76 has failed so far to ship anything. It seems to all of us it is indeed a scam.
As far as USD, it is clear he got hacked and it is also CRYSTAL CLEAR that it was not a mod.
Anyone with half a brain would realize that the mod in question did not do this. It is crystal clear because it would make ZERO sense. There is no need for him to do this. If he were to steal (I believe he would not) then there is no way he would have done it like he was falsely accused of. Just a fact.
I understand that 90% of the buyers on SR are not represented in this forum. I know this because 90% of my 100+ customers have told me they do not post. It only takes a few morons to post and a few more to create 9 names.
Do you realize what it takes to run this site? Do you realize what DPR has to put up with? From all of you "buyers" and vendors. It is impossible to make everyone happy. Trust me there are things every vendor would change. But I think SR is without a doubt, a class A operation.
I trust Silk Road 100% as you should too. Why would you not? This site has been awesome. It is not perfect. But nothing is.
Think about what this site really is. It makes available illegal items(for the most part) to ANYONE, ANYWHERE. This site has been around for over a year, NOT ONE PERSON has been in trouble because of it. Those are fact's. Yet almost everyday someone makes a post about LE. Everyday someone makes a bullshit post about scammers. Yes that happens. It happens on eBay. It happens on Amazon. Anywhere there is money it will happen.
Trust me that as a vendor I deal with scammers from buyers 10x more then you as buyer deal with scamming vendors. We have a lot of great customers. I would say 99% are awesome. Most of them never post. There are one or two bad buyers every single vendor can tell you about that is a lying and cheating prick. You should here some of the bullshit we deal with.
Since this site has the ability for buyers to go back and change their feedback, some use this as an opportunity to try and take advantage of us. Feedback is a very important thing for a vendor and that is what we care about to make our business shine. With our feedback profile they believe they can blackmail, threaten, and lie.
We have a vendor only forum. We talk about all the buyers. We all know who the shit bags are.
In truth, 99% of buyers are awesome. Most just want what we offer. They pay, they wait for the right amount of days their package should take to ship. They actually read our vendor pages and talk to us like normal human beings. We respond and we try and make this experience as close to eBay(for the good) as possible.
I believe most vendors really try hard to please. We want to sell our goods. That is why we are here. We are not here to scam you. Just like you are not here to scam us.
Just realize that a lot of the people that post in here are not actual buyers. They just come in here because in real life no one will listen to them. In here they can take 2 min and become a name. They can make any accusation they want. They can say whatever they want.
No matter how incorrect, how stupid, how wrong, or how just plain fucking ridiculous.
So take your time. Read around. Realize who the morons are. Find a vendor you are comfortable with. Be smart. Ask smart questions. This is not 6th grade. All questions are not good ones. Don't ask your vendor questions that are already answered on the vendors page. Read the listing. If you still don't understand then send a question. A good vendor will respond. Unless of course, your question is dumb as shit. Then a good vendor will ignore you. We are busy. We do not have time for bullshit.
I just want to say that we should all realize the giant task DPR has taken on. Instead of jumping the gun making post about how this site or a mod on this site stole or did something wrong, think about all the right this place has done.
The mods and DPR have been absolutely awesome. They deserve a lot of credit for what they have created. They know this is not perfect. They are always working on improving this site. They're here to help all of us. Not to scam us in any way.
There has been ZERO..... Let me repeat ZERO..... Situations where SR has taken anyones money. DPR is very fucking smart. He knows his shit. I am in no way kissing his ass or saying I am happy with everything.
I am saying that his track record proves, without a doubt, that he is smart and 100% honest. There is no denying that.
Yes there have been problems.
But there has NEVER been a situation where Silk Road or the people that mod for silk road have stolen anyone's money. That is just a fact.
NOT ONE DIME!!!
So instead of wasting your time with your bull shit LE story. Or your bull shit this MOD stole this or this mod hacked that.
Write a review, good or bad...... JUST HONEST.....of your experience with a product or your dealing with a vendor. Lets stop all this bullshit people. LE is not here trying to get us all against each other. Every vendor is not looking to get you to FE then scam you. No mod or DPR is hacking your account or stealing your coin. Those are the facts. Try sticking to them.

Good post. Karma for you. I do kind of feel bad for USD though, but when you are a vendor, security should be of the utmost importance.

EDIT: Just to add my experience. I have had nothing but solid and safe experiences with everyone here with a minor (12) amount of transactions. Cheers to everyone I've ordered from Delta11, TrustusJones, Tweetb, Pharmakarma, Pharmville (RIP), BrownPurple31, and Paperchasing.

Absolutely agree with your fine written text :)
SR isn't always the best, non time the worst, but always a running option for every honest buyer and seller of this smart community (besides some spamming kids).
I'm proud to be that long a part of a new, high-quality way to get drugs, information and what else all the vendors are going to offer. I love the community here, mostly smart and hones people, would be hard to find such a number down my street...
I think that most of the vendors are honest ppl and, as you told, are not here to scam. If you're getting scammed as a buyer, in my opinion the most case is lack of brain at the buyers side. You have all the options to check your vendor via forum, private contact with anyone else here and of course his feedback.
For my nearly 1year membership here, I never had one single bad experience, the opposite is fact, nearly all vendors i ever had more contact than "did you ship?" or similar small talk about the product are great people and it's fun and worth to talk with them.
tl;dr: if you had one bad experience as buyer, please start using your brain ;)

To be clear why I havent posted in that thread for 40 pages is I've been bedridden with kidney stones for almost 4 weeks now. Only awake now to take some meds and go back to sleep.
Never finalize early guys, it's not worth it in reality.

RxKing, a brilliant and to-the-point post. I"d give you more than one karma point for it if I could. People need to relax, cut the bullshit and realize that it's up to us to make this market a friendly, efficient and pleasant place to do business.
Nomad, I'm sorry to hear about your kidney stones. And of course the whole USD situation is also bullshit. You're a stand-up guy and bad shit keeps happening to you. :( I hope you know that the bulk of the actual non-sockpuppet users here have your back.
My experience here in SR has been great so far. Actually better, in proportion, than with Amazon or eBay. They tend to delay my shipping for weeks. Vendors here are quick and efficient, if you know to go after the right ones. :)

A very well written post by RxKing. Some of the post's lately on this forum have been out of control....but easy to spot as TOTAL BULLSHIT if you know what's up. Good thing I read the forums to know that. ;-) SR isn't perfect but hey it's pretty damm cool if you ask me.

still i have to say something fishy is going on because my product never made it to me, and neither did my money. this is the e-mail i received from usd, and fist let me say that i have always had his back and have bought from him many many times and would FE with no hesitation because everything has come through from him and been great. but now i make a large purchase and this is what i get.

I agree that i shouldnt have FE but like i said before it didnt bother me when dealing with usd, he has been a real solid person going above and beyond for me... but now im out of me and my friends money and no product to show for it. so someone has my money and its not me aka stealing.

Good post Rx, speaking from a buyer's perspective and a frequent lurker of these forums, the venders opinions on how things work here are just as important as the moderators. Trusted venders carry alot of weight and it is very refreshing to see a trusted vender reminding us that everything is ok and too ignore the bullshit.

Boomer I've never had a few thousand dollars in BTCs, I didn't even get a thousand from this selective scam, which was classic because this isn't USD's first scam, but it was the first that involved an overkill of misdirection the oldest and most often used method to get away with a scam.
I had a long rant about how you scammed everyone and that the "hacker" was hiding in the grassy knoll but Tor died when I tried to get a new identity so the post would go through, but you aren't worth feeding or even a very good troll.
I bet you would love to know what your tell was on this selective scam. Enjoy your scammed BTCs, you can buy a handful of new vendor accounts. You destroyed many buyers dreams but I saw right through you. Did DPR tell you that?
Also those btc's with the bad juju are long gone and you never got the amount correct, I never even got a thousand $ worth. I just hope who ever the btcs ended up with doesn't have to deal with the misfortune I did.
I'm done with this thread no troll feeding and I wish to respect RxKing's wishes for the topic of discussion.

On a positive note, I agree with all, rxking, awesome post.
And to reiterate Nomad Bloodbath. Never EVER finalize early. Quality sellers appreciate and actually like escrow.

Probably what happened is that USD broke a rule (the no out-of-escrow rule) so SR decided to confiscate some of his income as punishment, and donated it to the forum moderators. USD confirmed that they had a dispute about it.
Both sides have motivation not to tell what's really going on, that's why everything they say is so vague.
I'd guess Tony76 got in trouble for the same reason with out-of-escrow on T-Mart.

was there more to it? it seems like a strange scam. the whole nomad thing seemed somewhat pointless, hard to beleive he came up with this scam but said nomad got 6k and didnt think people would chcek the blockchain and find out it only 1k. the whole nomad thing made no sense at all unless hes a scammer who nomad pissed off on a previous scam so figured he would slander nomad on his way out the door.
just curious what exatly happened, seems a weird one. you would think from the amount of scams based around lsd that it was more addictive then heroin.
What kind of acid was he sending out? it wasnt like a resend of tonys or something was it? i could see someone buying a few sheets from tony, selling it off in small bits to gain rep then ripping and running.

In general, I think people who are freaking out should do 3 things:
1) Read up more--including vendor pages, feedback, and forum threads. So many questions are answered therein.
2) Stop Finalizing Early!!!
3) Take a deep breath & a step back, and truly appreciate how incredible Silk Road is.

@ RxKing. Bravo! I am with ya here. Nothing is perfect, SR is pretty damn close, especially for what we are doing. ! I have had nothing but positive experiences with all my vendors, every one.
Ivory, TommyG, Mitanox, Moon Unit, SuperTrips, 3Jane, SKYY, Amsterdamgoods, sesampino.
Annnnd SR.
Outside influences can affect the picture perfect experience. That is not the vendors fault. These ones have been amazing vendors to me.
Read vendors page, choose wisely.
