Title: Vendor requesting court of public opinion... got a 3/5... do I deserve it?
Post by: TrustusJones on April 02, 2012, 01:39 am
So this guy leaves me this review:

mrgabba

3 of 5

"Fast shipping, straight bag, but the buds I got looked NOTHING like that picture posted. Not sure what I'm smoking. It's pretty good though..."

I'm none too happy about this considering how much time I put into making sure all orders go out the same day it is ordered (minus Saturday) and triple sealing the product...
There have been a few customers whom I didn't do as good a job packaging and I probably honestly deserved a lower rating, but in this case I am leaving it for you to decide.

I just took this picture of a nug from the same jar I sent the buyer who left me the review:

http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/8118/pict0006ss.jpg

Here is a link to the same item I am selling:

http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/item/2f57c5f444

Look at those two pictures side by side and tell me they are different...

The only difference is the hairs are a little redder in the picture on SR.

For this I get a 3/5...

This is exactly why Vendors need to be able to respond to feedback left by buyers.

Thanks!
TJ

To solve this problem all cannabis should be shipped straight from a grinder.

Fuck that :-\ People need to quit picking on truthful vendors and trying to ruin their hard earned reputation.

According to the info you gave, NO you definitely do not deserve a 3/5, that's bullshit. The pictures look identical and it looks like some damn good shit too...

Don't see a difference, that guy can get fucked.  Especially if he admits it still smokes good!

No, you got screwed. The picture may look different than what you got because of the lighting, and the buyer shouldn't care what it looks like if it's "good."

Since timely delivery and good shipping represents the biggest concerns, this should have warranted at least a 4/5, but you should have gotten a 5.

I wouldn't worry about it, because if the buyer is that hard of a rater, then they will be hard on everyone.

You deserve 5/5 on that, for sure.

I disagree. What is the point in posting pictures of cannabis products if it's not exactly visually what you're going to receive? Do you think it's ethical and should be legal for food advertisers to make up those fake food porn shots with a bunch of plastic food and glazes to make them all shine unrealistically? I personally think if you advertise products visually with product photography, then buyers should hold the seller to a high standard when it comes to the visual aesthetic of the received product.

If you only care that it's "good weed" or that it's a certain strain, why not have a listing WITHOUT photography of the nugs?  Just a plain text description? That seems like the appropriate method of advertising to me, if you cannot get the product to look good by the time the buyer opens your packaging.

I'm not saying that this vendor deserves anything but a 5/5... looks like the buyer is a moron in this case, but he really does have a right to demand his buds look beautiful if the vendor is taking nice photos of his nuggets to show off in the listing picture field.

Probably the best thing that could happen, now you can relax and get on with your business instead of waiting for this to happen as it always does. When you sell on the net you could give all your customers double what they order and you still would end up with one of these type of people.

Take it from someone who was a long time net seller of legal products "IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY" no matter what you do or say even if you give people double what they pay for you will always run into one person who will complain about something.

It is a pipe dream to think you can keep a perfect 100% especially considering what is sold here, if it is impossible to keep all regular buyers happy you KNOW you will never keep all drug users happy so the sooner sellers forget about keeping perfect 100 score the less stressful this job will be.

Unless you photograph each bag you sell they will never look exactly like the picture, you can have two buds a couple inches apart on the same plant and they can look a little different much less buds from many plants mixed together. Any smart buyer knows there will always be a little variance in the color, texture of buds within any given strain even though they have the same smell and taste.

As I have always said do not worry about looking for sellers with perfect 100% because no one can make everybody happy, if a sellers number is over 95 you are in pretty good shape if your number is 99+ you are about as good as it gets as there is always one in every bunch that CAN NEVER BE MADE HAPPY even if you give him his drugs for free!!

Is it possible the buyer has purchased from multiple vendors and confused your order with another one he has received.

Sorry to hear that Jones. IMO Warweed needs to step up his game and create a SilkRoad Shitlist. This list will be designed to help vendors cancel orders of shitty buyers.

I'm sure I've said it before but I'll never figure out why buyers with entitlement complexes insist on jerking around/scamming vendors. I know some vendors that are pretty crazy and I'm sure if somebody scammed them on a bulk order their next shipment to them would be a bomb. Fat chance that the majority of buyers on SR use drops anyway.

That's a real great thing to say in a forum. Nice job, man. That really helps everyone out.

Put a disclaimer about the picture.

Something like - "due to the organic nature of the product, what you receive may not look exactly as pictured but is guaranteed to be the same nicknamed genus and species of the Cannabis specified."

 ;)

Well, if it's good, you should shut the fuck up, quit bitchin, and just smoke it. Weed can have a different appearance a few weeks later because it's not freshly cultivated, but it's still good. I can't stand you weed snobs who actually buy into all that bullshit about "strands" and care about all the little tricky, bullshit names that growers give their pot. "Durr, it's super-mega-hydro hoopily-doopily Alabama alabaster crossed with ultra-dank sticky-icky wankity-dankity doo from Sascachewan..." Yeah, ok, could you just shut up and give me the bag already, you fucking stoner, hipster, douchebag?

Do you complain at the counter at Burger King when you get a Whopper and it doesn't look like the one on the billboard? I actually bet you do complain about that kind of stuff. Chronic complainers literally will find ANYTHING to complain about, and if they can't find it, they will invent it in their minds.
