Title: Help with the whole PGP thing / any free equilivents available?

Hey I'm new to all this, after a bit of reading around I somewhat understand how pgp works, however I do not want to pay 150 bucks for some encryption software. Is there any acceptable free versions available?

It is free opensource and super easy to use!

this is almost exactly what i'm looking for. But I'm on a mac. Any mac friendly versions?
