Hopefully SilkRoad will rise again to become the go to place for a quick and easy transaction, the only problem is the brand "SilkRoad" has a stigma attached to it due to the recent media frenzy over the arrest of the alleged "DPR". Over time I believe if SilkRoad keeps on improving and providing a marketplace that is easy for vendors and customers to use then it will slowly come back on top but only time will tell.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this for obvious reasons..... but it wouldn't surprise me if someone has taken some sort of narcotic while doing a tandem jump with a instructor in a place like Vegas.

If you stay in escrow then you shouldn't have any problems dealing with vendors, when you FE you have lost all control over the transaction. The choice is pretty much yours.

Here is my $0.02 on the bond system, sure it doesn't stop long term scams but it does stop people signing up and making a vendor account listing up products they do not have and hope to get lucky that someone FE's and then repeat the process. Having the $200 bond does at least stop the flood of scam listings from coming up. The rest is up to the buyer to be smart, not to FE and make sure they stay in escrow.

Clean your current location, get rid of any evidence that may go against you. Also don't say anything, not a single word to any LE. By the sounds of it I wouldn't say this is a hoax, just make sure you don't keep any drug paraphernalia around and make sure there isn't anything on your computer you wouldn't want LE to see.

They may have taken the image from Google but this doesn't automatically mean they are going to scam people, just make sure you stay in escrow and you shouldn't have any problems and if they ask you to FE early then consider the vendor untrusted unless proven otherwise.

« on: November 25, 2013, 05:01:26 pm »Considering sheep is #1 darkweb site at the moment (sorry but BMR is a load of shit and there isnt enough listings on here yet to make it #1) i cant see them shutting shop up and legging it with everyone's money!
This just goes to show how nervous the community is due to recent events, this is expected of course with SR going down and BFP taking everyones money + the Atlantis situation.
Everything should be back to normal soon i assume

I agree, it wouldn't be smart for them to shut up shop and just go offline with everyone's funds. I also feel there is a huge change in the way people feel about using a site like SilkRoad 2.0 and Sheep due to what happened with SilkRoad 1.0. People got very comfortable while using SilkRoad 1.0 and felt a false sense of security and became relaxed and when SilkRoad 1.0 went offline it was a shock to peoples systems and knocked them back into reality of how risky it is to conduct business on the deep web.

From my understanding I believe Sheep Market is still overwhelmed with the amount of traffic they are receiving due to the demise of SilkRoad 1.0 and they wasn't prepared nor expecting to become so popular.
