It's completely up to you, personally I would use Silk Road if I was making a order.

The feedback system is in place, but there isn't a huge sample size of feedback due to it being newly implemented. But there is a huge range of reviews for vendors on the forum in the "Rumour Mill", also remember to stay in escrow and you shouldn't have a problem!

My entire wallet was wiped out and 7k in BTC are gone, the entire balance.

How would someone have accessed my identifier as well as my password????

I would appreciate any input to explain how this could have happened.

UPDATE

first my bitcoins were gone now i get the following error!

Error 1006
Access denied
What happened?

The owner of this website (blockchain.info) has banned your IP address ().

You didn't activate Two-factor Authentication then I take it?

Either way I won't be leaving large sums in my blockchain wallet now after reading your post, sorry for your loss dude, that fucking sucks big time.

Used to see it happen a lot on Gox and they less than two fucks when it came to investigating what happened.

I remember seeing people complain about Gox all the time, it was quite suspicious in my eyes. Someone even had 2FA and they lost coins in Gox, call me a conspiracy theorist but something doesn't seem right with Gox.

Will the blockchain.info account be flagged if it is created through Tor?  I still feel dirty having my real info on there.

You won't need a Blockchain account, just tumble the coins from your LocalBitcoins account into your Silk Road account via BitcoinFog.

I figured out how to generate a 4096 size key with command line functions. Not too difficult at all. Updated my profile with a new key.

Right now I'm using the gpa program built into Liberte Linux for generating and decrypting keys. Does anybody know how to make 4096 sized keys in gpa, or what program can make these keys and then import them into gpa?

GPG4USB is a easy client to use, you can create 4096 in there!

« on: December 03, 2013, 04:53:55 am »
Hi guys,
I need to purchase some items but don't have a GPG key. I have followed instructions to create one but have a query. When asked for email, do I give my real email address??? This is all so very new to me and I can't see any shoes hanging off wires in the street online.... :D It is probably a silly question but I am trying to do this right so any help would be much appreciated. AND upon opening a Bitcoin account, do I need to have that on USB or is it safe to have on laptop?
tnx

anteater

Make sure you select 4096 Key Size also!

I left my email blank when I made mine also.

Rumor Mill / Re: Any one order BTC from BTCKing?
« on: December 03, 2013, 04:49:10 am »
I was just curious if any one has ordered BTC from BTCKing? I have only used moneypak to purchase BTC from localbitcoins. Their rates are outrages rigth now so looking for other options.  never tried bank deposit for coins before is this ok to do?

Yes, a bank deposit is fine to purchase Bitcoin with. You can pretty much use any method you desire then just send your newly purchased though a tumbler when sending them to Silk Road!

I watched something interesting a couple months back about a boy who was around 10 I think who had a whole memory of his "previous life" in a different part of the country where he has never even been before. He could describe his previous family and kids and names and what he did for a job in his previous life. It was quite disturbing, it's amazing how the human mind works.

But, alas I believe we end up 6ft under or cremated. Maybe when I die a archeologist will dig me up in 1000 years time and put my skeleton in a museum, that would be cool I guess....

You have to be aware that Silk Road is still relatively and has been built from the ground up, you should expect some teething problems to happen while the team work on getting the site fully functioning.

That's like saying Windows has doxed you because you looked in the task manager and saw where Tor was running from. That info is not passed on, it is a local error.

Ok. I just saw my info on the screen and imiedietly got sketched.

You have no reason to panic, everything is fine.

I don't think it would be suspicious, you could be selling something on Craigslist because your unemployed and need the money. I highly doubt the bank would even get suspicious over a $200 deposit anyway. If it was in the 600's + or over a thousand then I suspect they would get suspicious.

Isn't it possible to buy one of those VISA cards for cash and then purchase the RC's with that?

So is that how you guys do it typically then?  You store your coins offline?  I feel like a fool for having them stored online.

When I have coins, they are always stored offline. I just find it easier, then I can treat the paper just like a regular bill.

A good way to store Bitcoin offline is by using the following site,

*CLEARNET WARNING*

https://www.bitaddress.org/

Run this while disconnected from the internet, create your paper wallet then go ahead send send the coins to your wallet. You can bring the coins back online by using Blockchain to import your private key.

Armory is another way, you can also just run the Bitcoin-QT client offline.
