Should tell them to head over to here,

http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=179.0

So they can learn PGP then they can try again.

I created a new account on here and forgot password - I did have a chance to enter my PGP and other info, is there anyway to reset or retrieve it?

-RD

Yes, if it has your PGP information on it then you can just sign a message with your PGP key stating you need a password reset. Head over to "Customer Support and sign a message stating you need one and hopefully staff PM you with a temporary password so you can get back in your account.

Newbie Discussion / Re: Short a mere pound
« on: December 07, 2013, 10:21:11 pm »
Hi everyone,
I have found myself to be a mere pound short on an order I am hoping to make, and am hoping that somebody is able to help me.
I understand that this is my first post, and for that very reason I am creating this post with very little hope, but I really would appreciate someone looking past that and trusting the fact that I am here to stay.
I have been lurking every since the downfall of silk road that very much intrigued me, however have not had a chance to create until now.
So, after the site has gained enough functionality and feedback, I have decided to make my first ever Silk Road order, but seemed to have miscalculated the amount of bitcoins needed, and after trying to order an ounce of some weed, I am left 0.002 short.
Again, I make this post with low expectations due to the nature of the forum and that I have no posts, but I am here to stay and I hope you trust me.
If anybody could help, that would be great, and I will be buying some more bitcoins next friday so will be able to pay back in double at least. I would rather not give my bitcoin address here, so if anybody is able to help me then I will be able to provide them with an address, and will ask for a repayment address to send them back to.
I wish you all the best,
Hanley.
I would say go to the "Official Spare Coins Thread" but sadly you need 50 posts!

Newbie Discussion / Re: ERROR occured. Post was 0 seconds ago.

I believe this happens because many people are accessing the forum through the same tor node (as there is only a limited amount of tor nodes), so the forum software believes their messages come from the same IP address.

This is what is probably happening, I am also getting this error.

Newbie Discussion / Re: New seller
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:45:19 pm »
Looking to be a seller here soon, does anyone know how much it costs?

And how long are we looking to get verification?

How many posts do we need to have to be able to post in other forums?

Thanks :)

You need 50 posts in "Newbie Discussion" to post outside in the regular forum, also I am not sure if DPR has announced the new bond price to become a vendor but the bond is refundable after a certain period.

Silk Road Discussion / Re: Just to confirm: no hedging either
« on: December 07, 2013, 08:43:56 pm »
Just wanted to make sure I am getting this new site. There's no bitcoin hedging, the same as in BMR, is this correct? So if btc suffers dramatic falls or rises in value, you as a vendor get the same number of coins in a sale, they're just worth less or they're worth more.

goblin

Correct, if you sell a product for 800 USD (1BTC) and the price of Bitcoin falls to $500 USD you still receive 1 BTC.

This thread brings me back to 2003 when 419 email scams were at their prime, I remember checking my inbox and seeing 5 new ones everyday. I guess all the 419 scammers have moved on to more sophisticated scams nowadays.

Shipping / Re: "EBAY" or "AMAZON" Printed Packing Tape?
« on: December 07, 2013, 06:28:48 pm »
I would suspect Amazon post their packages though a certain channel, if you just post your product in a Amazon branded package though a regular mailbox then the postal workers will start to get suspicious and it will make your package stand out more.

This is a real member and the password is real. How did he do that?

You made a post in the "Customer Support" thread saying you was going to give your password away to get your account deleted faster, I suspect you're either the OP of the thread or just gave your password away.

Newbie Discussion / Re: looking for dealer uk
« on: December 07, 2013, 05:15:00 pm »
Hey any chance anyone knows a weed dealer in burnley UK??

I highly doubt you will find someone willing to meet you to do a deal, even if you do I wouldn't advise it. I'm sure if you look around the market you will find a United Kingdom domestic vendor who you can make a purchase from. It should be with you in 1-2 days, also look in the "Rumor Mill" section for reviews on vendors.

Newbie Discussion / Re: Sub-Cats & Sort...
« on: December 07, 2013, 04:34:01 pm »
Although the sorts are not entirely functional - it's a start.

I'm sure it's on DPR's list of things to sort out when SR shuts over Christmas.

I never have a need to "tumble" my coins, as I do not vend and have not bought any products on Silk Road. But if I did need to store my Bitcoin I would use a paper wallet which is offline storage so I know my coins are secure. Then, if I wanted to get them back online and send them to Silk Road I would import the private key into Bitcoin-QT and then send them to BitcoinFog and then tumble them into Silk Road.
