Customer Support / Re: Urgent message for vendor: AussiePrime
« on: December 13, 2013, 04:50:21 pm »
I have been trying to get in contact with this vendor. Have just received my goods yet unable to login to SR to finalize order. If anyone is able to pass on this message, I would be forever grateful. He's been really good to me and I just want the guy to get his funds.

I'm sure the vendor appreciates you trying to get onto the market to finalize your order, hopefully you will be able to do that soon!

Silk Road Discussion / Re: The Road Ahead
« on: December 13, 2013, 04:06:08 pm »
It has been quite a rocky start relaunching Silk Road, when it was first seized it was like something important to many of us was just cast out to sea and we couldn't get it back. With the relaunch of Silk Road it's like we're capturing what we had before. Before the seizure I guess some of us underestimated the power of what mistakes can cause, the alleged DPR Ross Ulbricht is now receiving the full force of that power. Now Silk Road is back we are now aware of the ability law enforcement have and how sly they can be. We learned from them in a way and improved on how to keep ourselves secure, hopefully it's a smooth path ahead.

Newbie Discussion / Re: TorMarket - Real Link (Phishing Attacks)
« on: December 13, 2013, 03:25:33 pm »
Tormarket is sooo much better.  This site is ridiculous.  I am sorry I deposited money here before it crashed.  I have a feeling it's all gone. :'(

Your Bitcoin isn't gone, it will be there waiting in your account when the site is fully functioning.

Do you require FE?

They are not selling on Silk Road, they are just posting a link to their own private store.

how does one place a post in these strange times on products offer?

You need 50 posts to enable you to post in the main forum, for now you can only post here and "Newbie Discussion".

Newbie Discussion / Re: SR down, bitcoins sent, what le feck
« on: December 12, 2013, 09:14:56 pm »
I am sure this has been discussed, but I haven't seen any post on it while the site is under attack. Last night I sent coins to my wallet and I haven't been able to get into the site today- anyone else in the same boat? Just wondering if they will be there when the site goes back up being bombarded with crap from this -supposedly- other market that everyone is talking about? I find it ridiculous that a brand new market would try and shutdown it's competitors right off the bat, seems kind of fishy

Yes, the coins you sent should be in your account when you can access your account again.

Newbie Discussion / Re: Best place to get bitcoins?
« on: December 12, 2013, 08:42:08 pm »
Alright and say the seller takes bank of america can i just walk into any bank of america without an account and send them money? and when it asks how much youre looking to purchase do i just type in the amount of cash i have? say i type in 500 dollars how will i know how many bit coins i am getting for that?

You have to initiate a purchase first on LocalBitcoins and the coins get held in escrow so you know how much you're getting released to you when you make the payment.

What is the point of people spamming to 50?

You need 50 posts in "Newbie Discussion" to enable you to post in the main forum.

Great thanks! So i downloaded a pgp program and generated a key, but i know nothing about tumblers, could you give me a little info on that?

It's to help stop any link back to where you purchased your coins to keep yourself secure,

Blockchain Shared Send - https://blockchain.info/wallet/send-shared

That's fine if you're sending an amount under 0.3 BTC to your Silk Road account.

The more secure way is to use BitcoinFog,

BitcoinFog - http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion

You need more than 0.3 BTC to use their service.

Figured i'd introduce myself here, i'm a new user to SR2, have never done anything like this before, hope it works out well :D.  I have yet to place my first order, still waiting on my Bitcoins to clear into my wallet, should be making my first purchase here in the next few days and i'm really excited about it!

Welcome, remember to stay secure and use PGP when giving sensitive information and remember to tumble your coins!

Newbie Discussion / Re: Multiple Forum Names ok?
« on: December 12, 2013, 07:33:51 pm »
This is defiantly an interesting community.
There are many topics I wish to reply to or start but I am afraid of leaving too many traces of my personal identity attached to the same forum handle.
Is it ok to have multiple accounts?

I guess, you'll have to get 50 posts on each account to post in the main forum.

I don't think there is anything you can do, this time get a spare USB and make sure you back everything up.

Frostwire, Limewire.

Is Limewire still around? I remember years ago downloading songs from there for my first generation iPod, those were the days.
