Customer Support / Re: BIG first deposit issue
« on: December 23, 2013, 06:40:12 pm »
Hi,

I tried using the support option but received an error upon submission every time. I misplaced the end of my account name, I know the first letters it started with but the corresponding numbers got lost when I accidentally did not save a document. I went through BTC-dealer and the coins will be deposited to an address I do not have access to when the payment finalizes. Is there any way to find my account name if I have a deposit address from it, the first few letters of the account name (jbob), and the password? If anybody has had this issue or if anybody can help me please let me know.

Thanks

You'll have to wait until the support system is fully functional again, I expect it will be back by the 28th.

Customer Support / Re: HOTWALLET VS COLDWALLET
« on: December 23, 2013, 02:46:27 pm »
Hello,

The following did NOT happen on SIILROAD!
I tried to buy something a few weeks ago on a torsite.
Its possibly a scam because i never reciebved anything. And every time i try to withdraw my funds on the website  i keep getting this error:

Not enough funds in the online hot wallet for this transaction. Please wait untill we have refilled it from the offline cold storage wallet. Or contact support if the problem persists. We are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause but its the only method to keep our users funds 100% safe.

Can anybody explain to me what it means . And verify i have been scammed?

A "Hot Wallet" is where coins  are stored on the marketplace's server, a "Cold Wallet" is where coins are kept offsite and stored either in a paper wallet or a offline version of Bitcoin-QT or Armory etc. It's to protect coins from being stolen if the server was compromised.

Regarding telling you if you have been scammed or not, well I couldn't tell you. If the site admins decides to refill the hot wallet then you should be able to withdraw.

Silk Road Discussion / Re: Deleting PMs on main SR site
« on: December 22, 2013, 09:44:01 pm »
I don't like whats transpiring and want to delete my PMs over on the main site, but am not seeing any delete button now.  Granted, I did't look for one until now, but I sure don't want my PMs falling into the wrong hands.  I also notice that the site seeems to be operating on a snapshot from a few days ago, as the number of listings is way up.  I thought the site would be down, DPR is MIA, mods are busted, this just sucks balls.  Im going to finalize orderes for trusted vendors and take a break on the main site until shit starts to add up.

You're unable to delete PM's at this moment in time, there isn't a feature implemented to enable you to do so.

What do we do if SR2 goes down? Any backup plans? Where do we go, how do we be?

I'm not entirely sure what the plan of action would be, hopefully it doesn't come down to that. Keep safe everyone, I sense rough times are ahead.

Customer Support / Re: verify your identity - don´t have my key
« on: December 22, 2013, 07:51:39 pm »
I didn´t used a pgp client or my pgp key. I don´t have saved my pgp key because I Hadn´t known that I need it to login after a purchase.

That wasn´t a good idea  :-[

now I don´t know what´s to do to login, Without my private key I can not decrypt the message to verify my account.

thank you for helping me!

You'll have to contact market support, but at the moment I can't even estimate when you'll receive a response. The site is going though a rough period at the moment.

Hello SR Team,

today I´ve ordered the first time at the new SR.

After I placed my order and wanted to login, I´ve got a message where I have to type a decrypted string.

I doesn´t have noticed my PGP Code, because I didn´t knew that I need the PGP key to login after I placed my order.

What I have to do to login into my account without the PGP Key?

Thank you!

kind regards

What has happened to your PGP private key?

I don't quite understand your question, are you saying when you try send Bitcoin to your Silk Road wallet it says it's unsuccessful due to the wallet address being invalid?

It was from the flying Dutchman. I narrowed my listings to "Ships Worldwide" and placed my order with him, but then read his vendor page (so ,stupid, I know), and realized he ships everywhere EXCEPT the US. I've sent him a message but he's probably asleep so I'd like to know what will potentially happen in the situation. Will I get my bitcoins back? Or is there a possibility he may be willing to ship to me anyway?

If the vendor states they don't ship to the USA then I highly doubt they will process your order, my guess is that they will just cancel it and you'll be refunded.

hey guys read through all this what an absolute disgrace!

So let me get this straight because of a bug on their end i am out 1500? how the fuck can that happen.

I am still messaging support but now recieving an error on my messages. I'm sorry i cant wrap my hand around this, i use the site like everyone else and yet am being punished. all i want is some god damn information when can i get into my account??????

When Silk Road reopens on the 28th the support center should be back and fully operational, you're going to have to sit tight and wait until then. I'm sorry you're going though this, but there is nothing you can do until then.

I tried that link but it just gives me an error when I try to submit.

The market is closed on the 22nd and will reopen on the 28th so my advice is to come back after Christmas to sort out your problem.

Yes I do. It's becouse I can't log on to the one where I made the order. (while having the actual credentials of course)

Kind regards,

Snuifje

That will not be possible, if you have forgotten the credentials to the account you made the order on then you'll have to contact market support. If you're worried about finalizing the order then it will auto finalize after 14 days.
