I have seen this view expressed a lot and I understand why media attention, especially media attention that has been intentionally sought makes some feel anxious but there is something you are overlooking. The US DOJ was investigating Silk Road long before the previous DPR gave an interview with Forbes and if you read the complaint you will see Silk Roads fate had been sealed as far back as 2012 thanks to some OPSEC sloppiness and some highly questionable decisions. The media will also report irrespective of whether we are talking to them or not and I for one would rather see balanced, factual and informative press rather than the usual sensationalist bullshit where we are portrayed as a bunch of pedophile gun runners who like to put hits on politicians whilst mainlining crack for shits and giggles. I read a post before that really caught my attention, it said something along the lines of we can't all just stand quietly along the wall and hope they haven't seen us because we are not a secret anymore and whether we talk to the media or not they will bring their forces against. If we want to see change and I mean change we need to stand up and be counted and make our voices heard. This is not going to be a smooth transition but the powers that be are stripping any semblance of privacy from us as each day that passes and I am sick of it so I make my stand here in defiance of them.
