All we have had is arguments like this, you can rehash it all you like but the forum rules on this matter are clear, discussing CP like this is not breaking any rules, those trolling for a reaction generally doesn't break any rules either, it's just some sad sack looking to stir the pot and set off another one of these stupid arguments.

But on the flip side isn't it good we can have these discussions and when the mods talk about defending freedom of speech this is precisely what they are talking about, your right to speak your mind in an open forum without being censored.

mods seem to be the ones attacking speech on the forums. what i dont get is why the mods say you cant talk about child porn, and then they silence someone talking about pedophilia. i mean they at least have two brain cells to wire together to understanding human sexuality != pornography right? doesnt seem like it.

If you can quote a mod in this thread to substantiate your claim then lets see it otherwise all you are doing is trolling making statements like that.

Spoof your mac address? i vaugly remember seeing something about that. Is it a one liner in the terminal?

Coachella's subreddit link has also been added and yes if there was such an algorithm I am sure a substantial bounty would be offered.

VM's all the way, be that Whonix or an encrypted Debian Linux option. Keep the VM's on encrypted media e.g. Trucrypt containers on a USB or SD card.

Also if you have a Debian Linux VM you can have your PGP tucked away in there leaving no other trace on your machine so no annoying keychain pop up listing all your vendors keys when you right click on notepad or something.

Also remember to spoof your MAC address, very simple to do via terminal.

OK, so Ive thought a lot about what Ive been asking, and I guess my question really is this.

Should I trust his advice or does he have his own hidden agenda? Silkr oad staff if you could confirm or deny that would be helpful. I like what he says but dont want to trust somebody who turns out to be a rogue.

I haven't read many posts made by the account V, there are many people in this community who go out of their way to share knowledge and information, just look at some of the tutorial threads assisting people with security matters like PGP etc. You do not need to be a moderator or an admin to what to support and help others, I would hope that would be the natural instinct of most of us here.

I think you may be over thinking this issue after taking somewhat of a lashing from John, if you want to know what V's intentions are, well what does your intuition tell you?

But perpetuating drama is all that is happening, we have some trolls intentionally stirring up trouble and everyone else is jumping in attacking them which is precisely the reaction they are looking for.

If someone really was concerned about freedom of speech here we would be having a different conversation but we are not, we are talking about trolling, that is all.
