just type into Terminal:

ifconfig

You will get a list of each of your devices with all of their connections below i.e. 'active' or 'inactive' and to which I.P.'s they are connected to.

ALSO should get familiar with ifconfig. Try turning your wifi off and ifconfig again so that you can see where the changes are etc.

IMHO: You should always run this basic script before you log on so that you can manually check exactly what you machine thinks that it is and what it is sending out to the world.

I just wanted to post this as all I keep seeing on these forums the past few days are members putting down the admin and moderators with absolutely no good reason to do so.

A lot of your questions have already been answered and some of you just need to be more patient and realise the delays are only happening with our best intentions of safety in mind. Also it might be a good idea if some of you remove them tin-foil hats :p

We should be showing them more support for their sterling efforts so far! I'm sure I'm not the only one that can't even comprehend what must be going on behind the scenes to prepare for whatever the NSA or FBI could do to take this all back down. Unless you're PM'ing them about bugs you've discovered or vendor issues, I'm sure it can wait and you'll only be helping the full launch come that little bit quicker

Yes i find this verification thing very annoying. I messages sarge with my PGP key on the old and new forums many weeks ago, and i have yet to hear a single reply from him. I also posted my name and PGP in the roundtable. Should i continue to wait patiently or have i been brutally refused and then ignored by the admins/staff?

Given the volume of requests it is quite possible that yours my have been overlooked. If it has been as long as you say then please contact either Sarge or inigo with your request as per the instructions in the links in Sarge's signature block. Assuming you have followed the instructions and meet the criteria there is no reason your account would not be upgraded to vendor status.

Mac users should also take a good look at Little Snitch.

Little Snitch has a great little feature that you can create a profile on which instantly stops your traffic should your VPN go down:

Three important things you need to be 100% clear on when setting up a VPN.

1) Do they keep records of any kind, study their privacy policy in FULL

2) Can you set up and pay anonymously, look for the ones who accept bitcoin

3) Do they host servers in non five eyes countries and are not in cahoots with them either
