DPR  DOESN"T NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS!!!

As far as I know there are no plans to reintroduce the sale of items that were on the prohibited items list on the previous site including guns.

Speaking for myself I would not like to see guns reintroduced for sale here, I think we draw enough heat from the sale of drugs let alone firearms but that is of course as decision that sits with DPR.

I know many of y'all are of the 'publicity is good!' camp...but that assertion doesn't even stand as regards legal commercial enterprise.  SR, BMR, Sheep...they were all here together...why'd silk road get popped and the others left undisturbed?  it was not, in my view, that sr was taken down because it was successful -- it was taken down because the market was foolish enough to thumb its nose at american authorities.  illegal markets seeking mention in forbes, and fortune, and business week are not doing themselves any favors.

I have seen this view expressed a lot and I understand why media attention, especially media attention that has been intentionally sought makes some feel anxious but there is something you are overlooking. The US DOJ was investigating Silk Road long before the previous DPR gave an interview with Forbes and if you read the complaint you will see Silk Roads fate had been sealed as far back as 2012 thanks to some OPSEC sloppiness and some highly questionable decisions.

The media will also report irrespective of whether we are talking to them or not and I for one would rather see balanced, factual and informative press rather than the usual sensationalist bullshit where we are portrayed as a bunch of pedophile gun runners who like to put hits on politicians whilst mainlining crack for shits and giggles. I read a post before that really caught my attention, it said something along the lines of we can't all just stand quietly along the wall and hope they haven't seen us because we are not a secret anymore and whether we talk to the media or not they will bring their forces against.

If we want to see change and I mean real change we need to stand up and be counted and make our voices heard. This is not going to be a smooth transition but the powers that be are stripping any semblance of privacy from us as each day that passes and I am sick of it so I make my stand here in defiance of them.

I agree. This is no free market. There should be no problem in reconnecting the automatic vendor upgrade system. Instead you guys are picking and choosing, and probly only choosing your own accounts. Don't even start to lie and say you don't have a number of vendor accounts, because you do.

Because of the clearnet website that Sheep Marketplace claims is unaffiliated with them?  Until you show proof then you are just making unfounded claims no different than Coachella does....

It can't be any worse than the original Silk Road, that's for sure.  I lost over a million US dollars of bitcoins (at current BTC value) due to that very insecure marketplace.  I still have not had a single problem on Sheep Marketplace though.

Comparing me to coachella is rather offensive Jack but I take your point and acknowledged as much when I made my initial post on the matter. Heed my warning or ignore it, it's up to you as it makes no difference to me.

No one is degrading the Sheep but their framework and infrastructure is some common knowledge & server info is available to a prying eye

We sell there and shit it's got 3 to 4X customer base to SR2 blows away the bare bone SR2 product hierarchy for easy browsing.

Synergy's just doing his job promoting SR2 - no big deal

I am actually issuing a legitimate warning based upon credible information to the SR community, SR2 can promote itself and needs no help from me.

I don't know why everyone is so quick to degrade sheep. Obviously is nothing compared to the old SR but the user interface is likeable and I enjoy it a hell of a lot more than BMR. I got scammed on BMR but have had much success and encounters w/ kind & trusted vendors.

IMO there all the same as of right now yet everything is mostly personal preference. Something about BMR irks me

Because it is an insecure system with no server end security, what is there to like? thousands of people are using that platform and transmitting their details using cleartext exposing themselves to significant risks.

I don't know how many times I need to say this but the message clearly isn't getting through, exercise extreme caution using SMP, you will see why in the not too distant future.

This is dangerous on so many levels but I will start with the obvious question, where is your vendor account? trying to sell via the forums without one will result in your account being banned.
