« on: December 16, 2013, 10:42:58 am »After writing a reply on a thread or posting a new topic sometimes happened to me twice today after you hit the post button the user gets booted off. The user must than re log sometimes directed back the the original thread the user was booted from sometimes not. This seems to be occurring a lot more lately.
Are you referring to time outs and/or IP load errors when trying to post?
If you get one of those just click on the back page (not where it says go back but the arrow in the top left hand corner), then refresh the page and when it has refreshed try to re-post.
Word of caution, if you are sending a PM and you get this issue COPY THE MESSAGE before you try the above because the message will disappear, doesn't happen with forum posts though.

as a buyer, i had 2 open orders in dispute that were auto-finalized. this is also knowing that SR support was contacted multiple times about said orders, and told to wait for resolution center to be up. i guess i got screwed
You are not alone flux101, there are a few others who were caught out by the AF feature initially being turned on without the option to go to dispute.
I am not sure what can be done in circumstances like this, I hope a resolution can be found though.

Some make one order and never log in to that account again for security purposes or just lose the password. I could go on and on. I agree with tesselated. If you can't automate a solution, you should be manually releasing escrow starting with the oldest orders. Warn buyers you plan to do so and give them time to enter a dispute for manual consideration. Most of the buyers will never respond by a deadline or say, oh sorry, ya I forgot that. Then, take your time dealing with the actually-disputed cases. We can understand that. We know you are busy.
I do not think there are any reasonable excuses for allowing an order to AF if you have received your order and are happy with it and it saddens me to hear many people are treating vendors in such a disrespectful way by withholding payment and not releasing the funds.
I have asked DPR for an update on the auto finalize situation, I am assuming there is a delay with the implementation of the dispute option because that really needs to go in before auto finalize. When I get an update I will report back or DPR may make and announcement himself.
I should have qualified my statement better, what I should have said was under normal circumstances there are no reasonable excuses for allowing an order to auto finalize. Of course there will always be some people who experience extenuating circumstances but that is not what I read the issue in this thread to be referring too.

If you were a former vendor on SR, had paid a bond but not had it refunded before the feds seized everything and were verified for a free vendor account on SR2.0 then no you will not be eligible for a bond refund I'm afraid.

As a buyer I was not aware of this issue but I am aware that listings have dried up, frustratingly at a time when the site is running better than ever.
What the hell?
I think that it is only fair the vendors be able to ask for FE without fear of a ban.
Otherwise you may as well just ask everyone to move over to Sheep2/Tormarket.
If this bothers you then please cast your vote.
I for one request that vendors at least be allowed to require FE until the function is ready again.
Whilst I fully appreciate the frustrations of all concerned here what is up with these buyers not finalizing their orders? The site is now back up so what possible reason could any honest buyer have for not releasing the funds for the order they have received?
If you owe a vendor money and your order has arrived pay them immediately please.
