Title: Bitcoin Trader Review thread!!
Post by: nosytarze on May 02, 2012, 11:26 pm
Hi I know we have info on the major coin traders on here but i figured it would be nice to have a one stop check for people like myself who enjoy the closed security of purchasing coin on the road. I have personally dealt with sugar mama, coolchick, and btcbuddy, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. They are all usually fast (within 6 hours) and if it will take some time they have no problems alerting you ahead of time before they take your money. Those are outstanding qualities for a bit coin trader to have. I recently tried DRUGTRADE, and was told it would be about 20 minutes which is why i went with him over any of the formentioned but 24 hours later i have yet to receive a response or explanation. I am not dropping the scammer bomb just yet but i am getting nervous at the lack of communication. Anyway here is my run down feel free to post your own to bring clarity for new users on bitcoin dealers on the road.

Sugar Mama: 10 out of 10 although she does get busy some time
BTCBUDDY: 10 out of 10 Tried and true will let you know an accurate time on bitcoin deposit
Coolchick: When active great return time 10 out of 10
DRUGTRADE: will update but currently 5 out 0f 10 for communication

Great idea...whenever I'm looking up bitcoins, or I forget who I usually go thru, I get all scattered doing searches...I also used to be pretty opposed to online btc vendors here, as we'd gotten ripped off big time several months ago, right around the time Sugar Mama came on here, poor thing, she picked a bad time to come and sell btc. :)  But she proved herselt, too many people have used her and like her.

My main btc guy:
BTC Buddy.  He just always comes thru quickly and I trust him.  I like shooting the shit with him.  He has never let me down.

BTC King and BTC Pal have also always come thru for me.  I go to BTC Buddy first, but there are others, depending on one's needs.

Waiting for BTC from DrugTrade also.  Going on 2 days. This is annoying, as DrugTrade is not responding to messages. Called MoneyPak and it was cashed out right away, right after I sent the order.

FWIW, MP gave me the name of the person who got the $. Their initials are the same as Silk Road. Maybe you should call them and see if it's the same. I searched the name on clearnet and it's the name of someone who scammed some folks for adderall. This might mean nothing, a bad coincidence, or it might really suck. I'll post more info later, if necessary. I hope DrugTrade responds.

BTCpal is great, but isn't always available. FoxyMeow is good when they're moving BTC.

In my opinion, the number one BitCoin vendor on Silk Road is BTCBuddy by a longshot.  I currently have also been waiting almost 2 days for BitCoins from DrugTrade.  I've been messaging him since the day before yesterday, when my MoneyPak money was gone, and have gotten no response.  I'll keep everyone updated.

Its been over 48 hours for me waiting on atleast a response for drugtrade along with a few others. So until he explains a few things I would avoid any transactions with DRUGTRADE or atleast be warned and use at your own risk

I made an order today with DRUGTRADE as well for a moneypak. It was only about 1.5 hours ago. I sure hope he doesn't turn out to be a scammer! =/

P.S. I have dealt with BTCpal and he had my coins in under 10 minutes from placing my order.

drugtrader also stole a moneypak from me today

DT just canceled my BTC order with him. Uh huh. Same as everybody else.  Called MP and they said 'Steven Reynolds' got the money. I don't know how individuals get the money from MP, or how easily spoofed an i.d. is for such things. G00gling this name brought up a scam run by a Steven Reynolds selling adderall. clearnet link: topix.com/forum/drug/adderall/TEUV05JVKAQBBT0H3

Was rent due, DrugTrade?

people posted that he operated out of the providence/lincoln RI area.. someone even posted his supposed address

but i just searched around on my own and discovered that a police chief for some nearby town in providence is named steven reynolds who lives at that address in lincoln

so either this is a shit head pig stealing money because he knows he'll get away with it, or it's someone who has decided to steal the police chiefs identity (i would assume so that if one of us decides to call or something then we would be unknowingly calling a cop? is drugtrade that smart.. also stealing a police cheifs identity  so you can run an online bitcoin/adderall scam is pretty ballsy)

anyone have any suggestions what we should do?

Well if I were you I would do what BTCpal has helped me with. I called greendot and now they are doing an investigation on this guy. They said he had some kind of company and such. They gave me a lot of information and said that law enforcement will be involved (even though this wasn't my intent). I am suppose to get a call within 2 days asking more questions and such. There was a lot said on the phone with them so we will see what happens. I will continue to update as they keep calling back.

hi, i don't want to come accross as a spammer (since i just posted a similar message in another thread) but i just want people looking for BTC's vendor's to read this,

(i am just your average buyer , i have dealt with all the major btc for moneypak vendors (drugtrade stole my last moneypak but it looks like SR finally banned him after he scammed me others out of thousands of dollars last week).. i've also used the other well known guys (i won't name them in this thread but i'm sure you all know who they are)...all of which i've given good reviews for in the past but i have actually gotten a lot of sub-par service form them (high rates, slow response times, little communication.. they are ok, but no one COMPARES to RAPIDEXCHANGE.

I just ran to the store, bought my moneypak, got back to my pc, place the order with rapidexchange  and had my btc in literally less than 5 minutes from the time i bought the moneypak.

i've never worked with a btc vendor so friendly, cheap, FAST and all around awesome (plus he has awesome communication, he responded to my pm in less than 60 seconds)

10 out of 10, A++++++

plus he did me a HUGE favor when i didn't account for shipping costs when i bought my MP and rapidexchange was nice enough to lend me the extra 0.3 btc's i was short instead of making me go buy another MP

seriously i can't say enough good things about this guy. he is AWESOME.

so just wanted to put that out there in case anyone is looking for good/fast/reliable btc for mp vendor.
Title: Re: Bitcoin Trader Review thread!! BTC BUDDY for the WIN : )

BTC Buddy for bitcoin  president.
It isn't that other traders are too busy. They just can't. BTC Buddy does. IMO, all the btc exchangers are busy. No one more than the other. Now it comes down to customer service and what you expect. Do you want good conversation or do you want more bitcoins in your wallet? Screw the conversation and send me my coins, lol. I got vendors to trade with. For me there is no better.

BTC EXCHANGERS LIST:

#1 BTC Buddy

#2 EVERYONE ELSE!

We hope that eventually you folks will be saying all those nice things about us. We're celebrating our grand opening right now, with some nice tight deals posted when we're online and can instantly deliver bitcoins. We consider getbitcoin and bitinstant to offer a service similar to what we're doing, and we think we're faster and more economical.

I was in a hurry today, and had to stay at bank...btc King did everything right, got it all done in about 1/2 an hr, tops.  btcKing and btcBuddy and btcPal have never done me wrong.

Sucks to see drug-trader scammed a few people, seems like all the people went with him because he offered quicker services then the more reputable BTC vendors times.

Always do your research before making any purchase, esp with btc vendors, send them a message before you place your order to make sure they're online and ready,  they could be out for the day or who knows what.

-Anyway,  I had went with Sugar Mama ( MP for BTC) and everything went GREAT! She even uses Tor-Chat to talk with people more easily witch is also a plus.

Sugar Mama for me was a 10/10

Absolutely, and well said: we'd just had a terrible amount of btc ripped off by inhouse scammers just a few months back.  You have *no* protection at all, so always check the forums, see what people say.  I mean, everybody has a bad day, and I know it's hard for new btc vendors to get rolling here, but SurgarMama did it, right after we'd just gotten bitten bad, too :)  Main thing is start small, get a feel for your vendor, and always make sure they haven't just 'popped up.'  Anybody can talk good on here, but it takes a while to establish a good reputation.

If any of these sellers aren't listed in "Money" or "Services" categories, does this mean they are not currently active or is there another way to find them so I can pm them?

Are there any other categories that they're listed in?

Is there a way to find their venders pages if they're not in any of these lists?

That's how I do it too...I've my favorites, then I just look in 'Money' to make sure they are still up and about...then I often will check the forums here, as shit can change overnite...*really!* ....I like to get a vendor who is in good graces, and alive and alert over on main site...and here, well, any vendor can piss somebody off---but I go with how most people feel, always on the alert for a change to 'scammer' rating...

BTCKing was simple and easy...30 minutes tops into my SR account after depositing money.

10% is a small price to pay for the all around service. 9% if you're a big buyer! 8)

well i was one of drugtrade's victims, and  i wish so much i stuck with one of the more reputable vendors

but in my defense, drugtrade had a 100% positive feedback rating in over 60 or so transactions over the last 6 months or something

also i sent him a pm first and he reponded right away saying he was online (and no one else was at the time) and i was in a huge hurry that say

but my hurry ended up losing me half my paycheck, as he just stole the MP and took off.along with thousands of other dollars from other people

btcpal and rapidexchange are the only two i trust anymore.

Just finished a $295 moneypak to btc transaction with Coinbox. It went as quick and as smooth as I could have possibly hoped for. Coinbox was as good as their word despite being a new vendor. Fantastic service and a trustworthy vendor. Seriously, I've bought btc from Sugar Mama, RapidExchange, GetBitcoin and even SumYunGai and this went better than all of them (especially SumYunGai lol). I have a feeling Coinbox will go very far here. I'm glad I decided to take a chance on coinbox and I recommend you do too.

Has BTC Buddy gone stealth or something? I would like to use him because the other reliable vendors are taking a long time. Does anyone have his profile link?
