Hey guys , some scumbag hacked my account today. I use my iPhone to access silk road and was already logged in, so I refreshed my page and it said my 1.43 BTC was withdrawn, whatever it's a few bucks, but I then tried to change my pw and pin, and it was changed already, please help SR thanks!
-
To the admins, there still is a PGP key on my profile that I could use as verification if need be , thanks for your help guys
-
For the fastest possible response, create a new account on the SR main site and PM support using the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page, giving them all the details.
You should PGP sign that message, as well.
-
Thank you Jones for your advice, will do
-
Also, I am still logged in my hacked account, I sent two messages to SR already, but eventually I will be signed out I think
-
You'll stay logged in as long as you keep your current browser session active.
Since you don't want to lose your current browser session creating a new SR account, when you send your PM ask them to respond to you here on the forums, in case you no longer have access to your account when they reply.

Hopefully Silk sees this, my session ended and I am locked out of my account. My guess is he's busy with the holidays.
I really wish there was a way to find out who this scammers were and fuck em up vigilante style. All I need is their ip and I could do the rest. Im sure that due to the nature of the site, it would be difficult, but fuck these faggots that do this, I only lost about 4 bucks in my account, but it's the principal, I had great feedback as a seller. Karma is a bitch. Thanks Silk in advance for your assistance.

How could this have happened? Was compromised through safari on his iphone? Did somebody phish both his main and withdrawal passwords?
-
That's a really good question. The way I was accessing it was through a gateway on the iPhone I got through another trusted seller on Silk. I know he stopped selling access to this months ago, but he has been on Silk since, I believe his username is SumYunGai. It's very possible it was him, I cannot think of who else could have done it.
Edit: I haven't gotten a new account yet, can someone see if he's still selling stuff in the electronic services section? He never sold drugs, but he sold stuff like increase upload ratios on torrent sites etc. I believe the username is dead on spelling. Thanks brothers and sisters
-
Hey guys so I created a new account and it looks like SumYunGai isn't selling anymore which I think is starting to add up that he was involved. Hmmm I kind of wonder if other buyers are experiencing this too. Also if Silk is able to investigate this, maybe he can give me info on this guy, probably not but if this guy is in my region, id pay him a little visit :).
-
Shit so I have to stop using this on my iPhone, if you search SumYunGai on the forums it says he's scammer, what a fucking shithead.
-
There is justice in this world, Silk helped me get my account back. He makes this place great, props to him, thanks to you other guys for help as well. See you on Silk!

I know you solved your problem, but you can still use SR on your iphone like me.
If it is jailbroken, download tor using the cydia source http://sid77.slackware.it/ios .This only works while on a wifi connect though. you just go to the wifi you are connected to settings and set the http proxy settings to manual, server to 127.0.0.1 and port to 8118.
if it isnt jailbroken, or you only have 3g, get a vpn, and in the vpn settings, set the proxy the same as above :)
I use both those methods for browsing SR when I don't have my laptop available.

I think the only way for someone to of done this would be to of key logged your account or maybe remote access. I mean to have two PW stolen is really fishy. Try running a virus scanner to see if someone is in your system.
-
He already said that it was because he was using a gateway sold to him by SumYunGai, who is now known to be a scammer. I'm sure SYG stole his account info this way.
This is why it's important to read the forums, so you can find out as soon as possible when someone goes scammer

This is warning tale for everyone to not use insecure systems such as mobile phones and services provided by others. Use only secure computer you have only in your control with tor or tor+VPN.
It's good to hear that OP got his account back! The Silk is very helpful person (or multiple persons). He helped me also when I changed my password in drunken rage. The SR have support that is better than any large clearnet website can provide.

mobile phones are only insecure when you are using a gateway. if you properly install and use tor then it is secure.

The OS and hardware of phones is not secure. If there is backdoor, the mobile phones are first that will have them. The variety of hardware and software and short lifespan of the devices and difficulty for user to explore how it works are ideal to hide backdoor that will allow competent adversary to gain complete control over your device and content it stores. And the phone is associated with you, as you also make calls with it. The mobile data is logged more than ISP data. I will never use mobile phone for things that I don't want to share with whole world including enemies.
