Title: I thought I was scammed...lol.
Post by: doobiebros on December 22, 2011, 09:04 pm
The dude throws up killer prices on some Oz's and I PM'd some questions and all is great. Communication is quick BEFORE the order.  I inquire about overnight shipping and he gets back to me and says $60 on top of the fee he is already charging for standard shipping.  Still no package after 2 days.  I will not see this package and it will go to resolution and he gets $60 + 50% for item "gone missing". Nice xmas scam...lol.

Should have ordered that nyc diesel from Anarcho47 but I wanted an OZ before xmas...:(

EDIT: it arrived..yay!

I'd say to wait at least another couple days, given the time of year, before potentially hurting a sellers reputation for something that's out of his control.

Then again, if he fucked you, fuck him. But be sure first...

That sucks doobie.

I will put up a deal in january sometime and make sure I save one just for you :).  Overnight should have gotten there within 2 days, even with Christmas.  It's why you pay the massive bucks.

Anarcho47

And yes, i agree with Nomad, better to put up the name now and save a few people getting burned - you can always update the thread or completely remove it if shit pans out, but in the meantime not saying could put another 5 people in your position.

I will withold judgement and see if our dear friend receives his package today.  I'm not liking the numbers on the seller or the behavior pattern, but that could just be my suspicious nature.  So let's see if it pans out.  (In the meantime buyers hold off on ordering until we hear about it).

I have been watching Mr Crane for months.
He left for a while just because of the nature of the forums, and accusations.
Since he is part of this community I suspect he will read this thread.
AK47 you, and I both study our community, and have discussed these issues.
I think the vendors (Mr Crane) does owe him an answer, but it holiday time, shipments are going to get messed up.

What I don't want to see is the forum fill up with babies who can't understand a lot of stuff is moving right now.
You might not, God forbid, get your xmas drugs.
Damn Ak47 it's been 2-3 days I've been waiting for your package;)
But, it wasn't overnighted.

The vendor owes an answer on an overnighted package, period.
Can shipping get fucked up? Yes?

Do we agree?

Mr Crane?

Uniwiz - I agree, and that's why I'm not throwing any accusations out there.  But I did take a lurk through older forum posts and was looking at the seller's page and I just have a little itch about it.  I could very well be wrong and that's why I'm going to see how this plays out.

I wouldn't even make it an issue except doobie is one of my good customers, so I know there is absolutely zero issue on buyer side.

Secondly, it was overnighted - if it was regular shipped I would say wait until the new year before you worry.  But three days for an overnight?  Either was shipped late (in which case the overnight should be refunded, at the very least), got lost/stolen (about 1% chance at this time of year), or not at all.  I'm rooting for the first choice.

and my friends that's what makes a community.

Anarcho47 I get your drift.
Should be interesting how this plays out.

Only excuse not to get back is, "honestly, dude, I had life issues."
"Here's what I'll do to make it up to you."
Believe it or not, thats how it works ;)
Well, on on our best day.

Hopefully we are maturing as a group.

Do you think the new PGP means his account was unauthorizingly accessed?

Not necessarily, but if someone else is using his account then s/he can't read any messages encrypted with the true owner's PGP key. So an unauthorized user would want to have potential victims use a key that s/he can read. Granted there are legit reasons to change keys. Personally I might create a new key because I no longer want to use the e-mail address associated in it.

I don't know though, it's best to wait a few more days to see if the package arrives.

Just arrived. Handwritten labels, required signature and 2 days late...lol.  Hope it is not LE!

Regardless, it is very dank and I should have withheld the name until after todays mail had ran.  Did I jump the gun? I don't know.  It seemed and felt like a scam.

As I have said in my earlier posts, I will always be SUPER paranoid about people on this site.  This super paranoia allowed me to avoid getting scammed by sumyungai, digitalexpress and others.

In this business, it is best to distrust until proven otherwise.

We are in a real where a good dose or paranoia means you are healthy.  It's good that you put it up, just in case other buyers were about to make the same mistake.
