I won't name who and this is partly my fault for being careless and impatient but still it happened and I'll just remind you guys of how someone will still fuck you over when they have a good rating.
I lost 187.00 hard earned money.
No rant just watch out guys.
-
nope got different responses from everyone. I think my money is long gone.
two of them even canceled my order before I could leave a feedback probably because I would eventually find out my card is blank out of money. I think I know who did this.
I will be contacting greendot tomorrow and finding some stuff out.
-
Removed my post. I had mis-read your original.
Still sorry about your loss, though. Losing money fucking blows.
-
yeah sure does. hopefully i can find some info if it was actually stolen or not
-
Hard to know, it's the nature of frontier markets. Been lucky, but have gone outside the moneypak/BTC that I started with, after early trust met with no response on the next transaction attempt. We are pioneers; some days we lose, be careful out there.
-
That sucks, just when I started referring my customers to him too.
-
I feel for you. I don't have a lot of extra money and can't afford to lose any to scammers. I've been lucky so far with the MP game but it's only a matter of time before I get ripped off.
Today I used BTC Buddy without a problem. Also, I gave Sugar Mama my MP code hours before I gave it to BTC Buddy and it still had the funds on it because she didn't have enough btc to process. She was honest and waited until she had btc on hand to try cashing the MP like she says in her profile.
-
Sugarmama is my choice from now on %100 of the time. She totally rocks. I'm sorry you got screwed mate....$183...man that really sucks. I hope you get everything resolved bro. I wish you could name them to warn others about who it was.

Just dont buy your bitcoins from silkroad! Unless you like to gamble with your money. Its like playing roulette. Choose the wrong number and you will get scammed. It happaned to me. So now I am waiting for my bitcoins from another site.

Thank you. Myself and a few other senior members have been preaching this gospel for months. Exchanging bitcoins on SR is akin to a slut getting wasted at a frat party.
In a perfect world, you'd be fine; but in reality you're asking to be taken advantage of.
Either use a clear-net exchange or educate yourself to use bitcoin-otc where they have a system setup to prevent scams
-
GreenDot will be able to get the account the funds were transfered to,but they wont give it to you (maybe a general location, partial account numbers, etc) unless you file a claim against someone. I wouldn't draw the extra attention to yourself.
I doubt it was BTC Buddy, he had perfect chance to rip me off, and didnt, even after I annoyed him a bit, lol.

if you guys REALLY want to help the rest of the community out, please TELL US WHO RIPPED YOU GUYS OFF! you arent helping anyone by just starting paranoia and not naming names so we can know what we are getting into with these vendors! I, personally, am growing to LOVE SR and the community around it and I think you guys should show some love and help protect your community and out whoever it is who scammed you!!!!! 8)

I agree, if not it just leads to unfounded terror and gossip reigns. We make errors occasionally, but we also have to take a chance, and if a reasonable amount of time has passed, and we don't get what we ordered, we need to 'out' the guilty party...they can always make it right, and we can retract our comments, but just saying 'i go ripped' doesn't help anybody...

Are you kidding wumg00? I shared the scammer name on these forums. Only reactions I got was that I am a scammer and that I am making noob accounts to irritate the sellers. What a great community here.
The point is there is no trust to each other. Better do some research in some exchange sites than buying it in here.
Other than that I think Silk Road is doing a good job :)

hey, dont get pissed at me! I am just trying to out whoever scammed you as it would prevent other people from dealing with them and getting scammed also! or at least if they do decide your a "noob" and go ahead anyways, they cant come back and whine later since you gave them fair warning! with regards to SR I am considered a "noob" also but, fuck that, I have just as much right to say what I gotta say as anyone else and so do you! we gotta try and have each other's backs here because if we dont, no one else will! I am on your side man!!! 8)

Hi,
That really sucks because as a vendor i believe in the words..with great power (trust) comes great responsibilities.
Hope u can solve this situation with the vendor or if necessary ask help from the Silkroad Admin if you have any transaction proof (pm transactions.)
Greets DutchShop,

I've been wondering why, when a buyer finds a really solid seller, like Rook for example, we dont just buy our bitcoins from them? Does it mess with security at all?
Just thought it was a good idea because they have a lot of bitcoins and do check their orders daily. I would send Rook moneypacks for bitcoins.

I'm sure you were scammed by Sumyungai I warned people in an earlier thread that he would vanish moral of the story trust no one.
