Hey all, what would be peoples thoughts on the best kind of lockable, secure container available, for extra security? I used to use mason jars or food containers, which are great for keeping stuff fresh, but don't offer 24 hour tamper-proof peace of mind, especially if you're not living alone. I've thought of lockable cash boxes or portable safes (if they actually exist lol). Any other ideas? :-\

Your best bet if your looking to lock up your valuables is to just buy a safe man. All those cash 'lock' boxes, are anything bet secure. If theyre dropped on the corner from a few feet up, they crack open like an egg. Most lock boxes are very easy to break into. Only an actual safe is 100% secure, for the most part. If it is not too big and heavy it can always be carried away, so bolt it down to the floor.

You can find filing cabinets, remove the paper holding bits of cardboard in them and then you've got 3/4 large drawers to put stuff in. Filing cabinets in many places are lockable as they contain data such as personal records or company data so the manufacturers know the industries value them plus they're usually fully metal and the keys are reasonably safe. As long as you're just looking to keep a few nosey people in your house out it will do fine.
