Hey, I'm interested in learning more about the history of SR, and how it first emerged. I've been a member for 9 months and I've witnessed some minor changes to the road in that time. But I would be interested in reading about how the road has changed since its inauguration.
Mainly pertaining to design, did it look different before? Was there ever a different way to buy things? Were the forums always this active and involved?
I love being part of the road and I wish I was here longer, but I'm glad I arrived when I did to experience some amazing times. Long live the growth of SR :)

The site got a redesign last summer. If you do a Google image search for "silk road drug market", you'll find screenshots of the old design, like here:

As for how busy the forums were, go the "Stats" page at the bottom of the main page, and click the + icons to expand the months and days, and you'll see how many posts and max currently online the forum used to get. It's definitely grown over time.
