Title: Bitcoin Fog SCAM
Post by: yakuza on May 21, 2013, 01:48 pm
I want to tell everyone else about this. I lost about $500 in bitcoins that I transferred to Bitcoin Fog located here http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion/?page=index

I had created an account and transferred the funds from SR to the fog and I stayed logged in but the session automatically logged out after a while. Now when I tried to login with the EXACT same credentials it's saying invalid username or password. I KNOW this is bullshit because I used copy/paste. Has anyone else had trouble with Bitcoin Fog? Fuck these people man I'm pissed! People get shot in the streets for this kind of bullshit and online websites get DDoSed. Fuck you Bitcoin Fog I've got something hot for you over here!

No problems with Bitcoin Fog since... very late 2011 or early 2012.

Support:

You'll need to create an account to log in to contact them, I think.

Thanks for posting the direct link - I wasn't able to access it right now, so that's very helpful!

Also, in case you have a problem logging in, you can use their bitcointalk.org forum messages, send them to user "Akemashite Omedetou", user that makes the announcements.

And no, I never had a problem with them that wasn't of my own making. They're solid.

I received the last part of my £2,400 transfer from them about 30 minutes ago and I've used them for well over a year, never had a single problem whatsoever with them. Let's face it, as with all "problems", don't take this personally but it's likely that the only problem here is you. Double check your credentials and get in touch with them if you have a problem but do it quickly as they only keep logs for a very short periods of time.

If that bitcointalk forum is the only way to contact them then it's a problem. It won't let you connect via TOR and I have been having problems with obfuscated bridges lately.

It's not the only way to contact them.  As another poster already mentioned, they have a support page on their .onion site:

I've also used BitcoinFog many times with no issues.  I'm sure if your coins have been lost in some legitimate way their support staff will get them back to you.
