I know alcohol is the worst drug I do to date, thankfully I am now tobacco free.
So my question is, what's your poison?
I am a big beer drinker, but I mostly stick to budlight and budweiser because it's cheap. ($20 for 20 16oz cans at the corner store)
Liquor wise, I love whiskey. Crown Royal and Jack Daniels are my favorite. I always mix with coke, sometimes sprite if I don't have coke.
Recently a lot of my friends have been getting in a moonshine orders (yes I live in the south) and honestly, I love shooting moonshine. A few friends have made different drinks with the moonshine, but my favorite being Apple Pie moonshine. Damn is it good.
Anyways, what about you guys and gals?
-
Dude i love four lokos and i like some bacardi 151 not a big drinker but when i do its usually :Done of the two.
-
try finding a local pub with some craft beers/ locally brewed or imported beer's there's so many better thing's than just the gar garbage you buy at the store.

VODKA FOREVER !

I rarely drink but it's either pear cider or Captain Morgan's with coke - haven't made up my mind if I prefer spiced or dark.
-
I love trying out new beers, especially visiting micro breweries. It is incredible how many different beer flavors there are... every micro brewery is different, its not often that I find a flavor that is identical to another. I chalk it up to differences in local water supplies. Recently I've been finding places that also have stills. I've had some really awesome rums and vodkas.
Honestly though, I don't have a particular choice or taste... it depends entirely on what I'm doing. I love whisky with a good cigar as much as a screwdriver and a few lines. ::) I suppose if I were to pick what I drink most often, its beer, second going to Vodka.
-
Captain morgan black is actually pretty damn good.

Captain morgan black is actually pretty damn good.
Yes, it is. I've been sipping on that & some coke this evening actually. I also like Kraken. I stopped buying Capt. proper though, if I want regular Capt. I get Captain 100. It may just be me, but I feel like standard Captain has lost a bit in the past few years. 100 tastes like I remember it. Its probably just me making up an excuse for the extra proof. ;D

Yeah when I switch to captain and coke I feel like it doesn't taste as strong as a jack and coke, so I can throw them back pretty fast. Usually ends up with me feeling pretty good.

Mixed Drink: Long Island Iced Tea
Has a ton of alcohol and doesn't taste like it. It's what I drink when I go to a dance club. One glass and I'm pretty good for the night.
Beer-wise I like Yuengling.

My favorite beer I can find reasonably well is Smithwicks. It has a history like Guinness (and actually, is now made by Guinness, though its slightly older), and its not as heavy as a stout. Otherwise, I tend to get a local stout or boch if I can.
In Texas I have frequently gotten long islands that were in 32oz or 64oz mugs. I only found a 64oz once, and they only let me have one. I am not a fan of iced tea though, and if I can I usually try and convince them to use coke instead of tea.
-
If we're talking cocktails I like Long Island Iced Tea too & the taste of tequila sunrise but tequila makes me feel sick so I don't drink it much lol. I can't remember the other one I had on holiday that was my favourite.

I'm not into beer enough to have the patience to explore that landscape. I do enjoy it at certain times though, like after a hard day of high-stress work. If I had another me that I could command around, among devious activities, I'd probably have him try every type of beer out there and get back to me on which taste best.
heh, yeah, I don't think I've ever had a long island w/ actual tea in it.
-
Kettle One Vodka, chilled, straight shot...
-
There are also a lot of bars around here that have their own drinks that are pretty good.
Usually some crazy concoction of a lot of different rums and things. Usually pretty good with a high alcohol content.
-
Real ale. Havent had any for a long time, but visiting the UK this summer and am looking forward to some proper beer.
-
Jager!!!
-
Local breweries for beers. Crown Royal when out. Dalwhinnie when home.

Corona for sure
-
Corona for sure
Ever since I've had corona or dos xx and had someone put a lime in it, it always tasted like stale fruit loops to me... and I've never really been able to drink it since. Before, when I drank it straight, it was good... but after I was served with it dirty already, echh, lost the taste for it entirely.
-
Cognac - Hennessy
Champagne - D.P.
And if you can find an old lady who knows how to make a dry enough martini... That's gold.

Lime can be a deal breaker, but it's a gringo thing.
I'd take any mexican beer over any of the waters they make in the states though..

Gin or Vodka?
I'm a fan of a classic Gin w/ a twist of lemon at the bottom. Though... they really are never dry enough are they.

The states have a bad rep because of the national identity with the big two. There are hundreds of better ones made in America, that definitely are not abundantly water. Its unfortunate that this is the case though, because they really are terrible.

I can definitely agree with you on that... I was really just taking about major commercial beers
-
Mine is real ale. Just like all the different varieties. Second to that is lager, then pretty much anything with alcohol in it.
Saying that I tried to had a dry month in April (only drunk on my anniversary and to celebrate finishing my Research Project at uni)
Tried this month but only drank on three or four nights.
It is a pretty lame drug on the grand scale of things
-
I'll drink anything, vodka is great at parties but I love some whiskey and coke. Specifically Red Label and the only beer I enjoy is Corona.
-
Beer, vodka
rarely whiskey, tequila, wine and all others
-
Pretty much anything, really. If I was going to be stranded on a desert island, though, and for some strange reason got to pick a supply of alcohol to take with me, I'd probably pick sake.
-
Well
It will have to be single malt whiskey - Speyside - Lagavullin etc.
They have to be served room temperature and of course neat - if you want to enhance the taste a bit, let the flavors out, drop one or two droplets of water in, not more
and you get much more rich taste.
Someone here mentioned whiskey with coke - I do love that, I keep my whiskey neat though and snort the coke ;-)
-
Mine...... Wild Turkey , Smirnoff Vodka, Aussie Merlot if I want wine. Over $50 for 700ml of wild turkey 101 in Australia :(
-
Mostly real ale, though I've cut down a lot since I lost seven hours of my life during my last drinking adventure. Dark rum and gin are also up there.
Somehow I used to like drinking tequila from the bottle but I now hate the stuff. Funny old world.

I woke up on Sunday morning missing a fair bit of the weekend.... I hate that OH NO!! feeling when I wake up. Lucky I have a cloaking device and am spending this week invisible.
-
Mine's bourbon also, mainly Jim Beam but Jack Daniels from time to time. Had JB 5 yr old the other night. Went down really well.....with some weed of course!
-
Syrup for the win.....
-
I hardly ever drink but I used to love beer. Nowadays I like to mix up a margarita in the blender with some good tequila, or single malt scotch on the rocks.
-
Anything fruity and tropical on a southern holiday is good too.
-

Boy, I love Jim Beam. I don't drink it all that much now, but my friends drink it every weekend. I'm surprised they don't get sick of it.

Bitches! thats my drank! :o

Tequila is that alcohol that I tend to describe in the actions it produces... and I stopped drinking it since it usually led to the practice of removing ones' shirt and applying force to another individual that was also drinking tequila. I don't know what it is about that, the other things that come from cactus don't make me angry :o

I'm an alcoholic, my main drinks are beer / lager and wine. When I drink spirits it's too easy to drink too much, I've been hospitalized twice.
I used to be a cocaine addict and funded my habit selling ecstacy. I've been beaten up, stabbed etc.
Right now I'm trying to cut down the drink, smoke some weed, take the odd pill and stay mellow.
Peace

amen. I'm not a big drinker, but when I first drink I quite fancy vodka tonics. but I fucking hate beer though... never liked the taste or smell of it.

Amen to the headaches. If I see a bottle in a liquor store here in the US that I haven't tried I usually give it a shot... but I have always been soured by the bars that sell the "american" crap that just isn't all that great. Plus, they don't serve it right... so its just never gone well.
Most people don't understand that most spirits actually have unique flavors like wine. There are tons of whiskys and scotch that all have very different flavors. I enjoy going to tastings. Most recently I have been doing Vodka tastings, and I will be honest that I didn't really consider a lot towards Vodka being all that different from bottle to bottle - the cheap stuff tasted cheap, the good stuff was usually a little more expensive but it was smoother, but it was always Vodka. Wow was I wrong. Ever since the first tasting I went to, I refuse to drink Goose or Belvedere. I enjoy screwdrivers quite a bit, and if I'm getting it that way I tend to just go for whatever is in the well since the OJ does a good job of handling the rest. But, if I'm going on the rocks/martini, I tend to go for a good Stoli or Russian Standard now, if the bar doesn't have a premium Potatoe. I'm interested to see if I discover some of the same things on Gin - I have been drinking almost exclusively Beefeater for many years... I'm waiting to discover if its as different as the others.
-
I love me a double shot of Jameson on the rocks. So nice and sweet
-
Don't drink like I used to, but I love a Drambuie best, and in States it's gotta be Fireball. I love shots like tequila and the occasional red stripe, all makes me feel merry and sociable.
-
Nothing like a good microbrew! and its national craft beer week! (in the US)
-
Beer and whiskey!.. but tequila is fun
-
Beer
-
I used to be a big Bacardi 151 and diet Dr Pepper fan until one night I woke up in the back of my suv with my pants missing, in the middle of some fairly dense woods. Since then I might have a beer or 2 every few weeks. I really just don't enjoy the buzz like I used to.
-

Screw the light crappy big three, bud, Coors, and Miller even though miller and Coors it now one company and Bud is now owned by InBev which is the worlds largest brewery. Go get some good craft/micro brews. My preference is India pale ales. Support micro breweries!! Dogfish is a great micro brewery.

Anyone like cocktails?
-
I'm a big fan of cocktails.
My favorite is a...
Last Word:
Equal parts:
Gin (London dry is the best, IMO. Something simple and with lots of juniper.)
Chartreuse (green)
Maraschino liqueur
Lemon juice (the traditional, Prohibition recipe called for lime. I prefer lemon.)
Shake.
If you feel like garnishing, a lemon twist goes nicely.
-
Ok check this -
1 x double smirnoff, 1 single tequila, 1 single bacardi, orange fanta, lemon fanta, grenadine with brown sugar.
Get's you FUCKED.
-
Favorite long drink:
Horses neck (not many bar tenders knows this one)
Cognac
crushed ice
ginger ale
and dash of angostura
Perfect - simply just perfect - dont be stingy with the cognac though
used to drink G&T but this one - awesome
-
Bacardi and coke although for some reason it seems to make me depressed sometimes as with any liquor and for beer bud light.
-
Havana Club Cuban Barrel Proof, which is ironically harder to come by in the US than a pound of crack.
-
Beer and wine. Simple as that
-
Heineken.
on the rare occasion that i drink liqueur, gin and tonic or crown and coke.
-
Whiskay! Nothing like sipping on some makers mark or jameson when your baked
-
100 proof wild turkey and absinthe
-
Strongbow & Stella
-
if you just want to get fucked up i made a drink called the bad idea
1 part vodka
3 parts cranberry
