I've had a search through the forums and haven't found an adequate reply to the question I'm about to ask.
How do I receive money from another country without it looking suspicious to banks or the tax department?
I may be receiving semi regular deposits over $1000.
I could use moneygram but that in itself would look dodgy also.
Thoughts SR's?

Could you qualify "semi regular"? How do you need it, in physical cash, does it need to be placed into a bank etc? Do you have an associate you can trust? There is a lot of factors to something like this.

Find a few trustworthy people to trade BTC/Dollars with on localbitcoins.com or a similar site. You meet with them in person every time and do it that way. Completely untraceable and unbannable (is that even a word? :P) by the government.

I may be wrong on this as I'm just going on his post, he mentioned moneygram so I assume it's a cash transaction he requires or a fiat currency as opposed to bitcoins.

Probably once a month for the foreseeable future. They are based on Europe and I'm south of the equator. There is no way I can receive it in cash from them.
They also no nothing of bitcoins.

You can use MoneyGram, but you probably will make a loss and requires at least one trustworthy person. But you can very easily make the MG payable to another name, ask them to pick it up and give them a cut - a decent amount would be $10 per $100 received, either that or any other fee you wish to work with if the person can be trusted. Spreading across several people is also a good idea and breaking down the payment sizes such as obtaining 3 MG orders of $300 each rather than $900 in one transaction, it just raises less eyebrows. Sure you lose a little money, but the separation of you from the payment makes it worthwhile if your profit margins would justify it against the risk.
Alternatively you could introduce them to bitcoin. As mentioned above; ask them to purchase the bitcoins on LocalBitcoin and then run them through a mixer to you, where you can then sell them. As with the MG method, it could lose some value due to volatile markets (or it could go up), but the payment system by, for example, bank transfer, puts the funds straight to you. If you invest a little first, you could also purchase some bitcoins and recycle them.
By recycling bitcoins I mean you have 5 BTC on hand, you list it up on LocalBitcoin at higher than average price, your contacts then complete a bank transfer to your account, justifying the transaction as you release the bitcoins. They then run those bitcoins through a mixer such as BitcoinFog and put them straight back in your wallet, restocking you for the next trade you make with them.

Whether you want to exchange cash for BTC, or BTC for cash, you can do it locally with trusted traders. You physically receive or hand over cash in exchange for BTC. No middleman, no government, no LE, no nothing. Even in a worst case scenario where there are eyes everywhere, you can't be connected to anything but the actual monetary exchange transaction. That's why it's untraceable and it can't be banned unless physical cash is banned.

Yes but the issue is that I won't be able to receive the money in person because they are in another country hence my original question.

Depending on where you are in the world, you may be able to do it via Hawala. It's very anonymous and has been around for thousands of years.
